The game even allows you to ride the rollercoasters which is very good to show what it would feel like in first person although its not half as scary as it would be in real life. The game also has features such as challeneges like completing objectives and challenges to gain more promotions and rides. You take control of everything in the park being the manager including hiring and firing staff, upgrading your rides to keep customers happy. The graphics ...more

The first thing you are likely to thinkwhen you see anouther EA game about theme parks so soon after the realese of theme park world iswhy should i buy this game? The first thing to get straight is that theme park inc takes the experianceof manageing a theme park to the next level! As the assistant manager charged by the manager to run the show, you can still build wackey rides and rollercoasters but now you have to keep a more close eye on the businness side of the park, you will be set certain objectives (like having a certain amount of people in your park by a certain time)these objectives are to be achieved before you can move onto the next park. There's something up in the Bullfrog camp, since Peter Molyneux left to set up Lionhead and work on one of the most ambitious games of all time, Black & White, the team have only released sequels to games that he devised. While Dungeon Keeper 2 was a nice, solid and improved original, Theme Park World was a bit of a let down, it didn’t have the addictive pull of the original game so Bullfrog are at it again with Theme Park Inc. The clue is in the title. This game is far more business orientated than TPW and the original come to that. You now don’t just build a park, improve it, make money and get bored. You start off as assistant manager and ...  Read the complete review

The thing i love is going to theme parks, i brought this game because i wanted to build my own theme park, of my desire which would keep the customers coming back again and again. Ahhh, the classic bullfrog, work your way up the scale games, and this one is no different, in fact; it's worse in that respect! You are instructed to build and design theme parks, once you've done that, you have to let people into it, see there reactions employ staff, lose money to make money, risk it all, then you get promoted! Typical bullfrog games; some people get a thrill from it, some people dont! Advantages of this game are, it teaches kids how to manage their money! It provides hours upon hours of fun! And It would provide a great homemade chinese torture setup with its nonstop repeating of the same simple carnival tunes!!!! But serisouly its a good game, ...  Read the complete review

Theme Park Inc (PC): Any better than Theme Park?? (349 words)
by - written on 25/02/01
Rating:

The latest instalment in a long-running success story for Bullfrog and EA. The "Inc" in the title shows the business bias--you start off at the bottom end of the corporate food chain and must work your way up to the top by pulling in the punters and keeping them happy whilst attending your park. That's also while you either satisfy all your immediate directors who have their own (five) departmental demands, or play one off against the other while you try and rise through the ranks yourself. Satisfying them earns you Golden tickets which serve as a second currency and allow access to the other Artic/Polar and Arabian areas of the park you are expected ...  Read the complete review
