Thief is to my mind the best sneak em up game ever and constantly improves itself with each generation. This Current one falls short of expectation but still retains what Thief is all about. For those who have trigger fingers and no patient for waiting and hearing till a Guard passes down a Hallway to make your move then this is not the game for you, this game rewards patients and punished those who rush in. The levels are all very well done with lighting and mood being the key feature in each one, i think you will sometimes wonder how many shades of grey and black there are. This game is indeed a great escape, loving the PC, use of keyboard and mouse, but working at its greatest with an up-to-date graphics card and extra sound card too.... Because this is a game that is sheer atmosphere, as well as making u stop and enjoy it, and become it!.....Look around, plan your moves, take a breath, use stealth and determination to make it carefully through the levels..... Not to be played with haste, because otherwise you will grow impatient and make too many mistakes.....So start each level with a fresh mind....and a dark room. Thief: The Dark Project was the first stealth-based game I ever played and it really proved that stealth can have an important role in a game. This was the game which made me more interested in stealth games and also towards Hitman and the others. But for me, Thief was a little more interesting as it was set in a different and may be better background and with a more interesting character and plot. The beginning of the Thief series may be the one thing which made 1998 an interesting year for the gamers. The third game of the series seems to have revolutionized the game even more.
