Advantages: Absorbing, detailed, easy-to-use and with greater levels of satisfaction than previous.

Disadvantages: Not for cheap thrills or free fun, but more level-based and determined play.

This game is indeed a great escape, loving the PC, use of keyboard and mouse, but working at its greatest with an up-to-date graphics card and extra sound card too....

Because this is a game that is sheer atmosphere, as well as making u stop and enjoy it, and become it!.....Look around, plan your moves, take a breath, use stealth and determination to make it carefully through the levels.....

Not to be played with haste, because otherwise you will grow impatient and make too many mistakes.....So start each level with a fresh mind....and a dark room.

Some minor gripes are that there's no multiplayer scenarios - or virtual world even - where this experience could be shared.....Also, the guard routines do become a little predictable, but it all serves the well-planned out storyline and interlinking missions.

In fact, the way the levels recur and intertwine is masterly, and really gives this game a boost as proper brain food. Also, it's not as hard as the earlier versions became, and u can save your place anyime along the way... A must-have, with updated versions, only with the potential for greater atmosphere, greater intrigue and greater, darker, (scarier!) fun.....
