Advantages: great graphics, good fun

Disadvantages: quite short, hard controls

flight simulator or arcade shooter? hawx feels like a bit of both, the range of planes selectable from the plane list is huge. the graphics are absolutely amazing and to go with that, it runs very smoothly on lower end desktop computers. the missions in the campaign mode are short, but not to short to feel whats the point. the air combat is nice and fast. the only downers i could put on hawx are for soemtimes when flying and engaging in dogfights, the plane can be very hard to control from certain veiws and crashing into the ground can be a very easy thing to do. the online play is a big nous for this game i feel as once the campaign is over in single player mode, online brings new challenges as you can take to the sky and show people around the world just why you are the rank you are.

Summary: overall a decent game
