I haven't played the tombraider franchise since the original PC game, to be honest it looked like more of the same with the same graphics and limited variety. I was pleasantly surprised when I picked up Tombraider Underworld and found myself completely immersed in it. The premise of the game is the usual recipe that echoes every Indiana Jones movie. Someone really evil is seeking the same artifact as you with a small army and seemingly infinite money to combat you with. I am surprised that this has not had better reviews. I really enjoyed this game and thought it was an improvement on Legend and Anniversary. The plot basically takes over from Legend as Lara goes in search of her mother. It takes us around the world in pursuit of norse artifacts. The thing about Tomb Raider is that they are fun to play, the movements Lara is capable of are wonderful and its fun to work out the problems. Graphically Underworld is the most stunning of the games. An action adventure game that is part of Eidos Interactive Tomb Raider game series it was released in 2008 and is the eighth game in the series. Gameplay The game is played similar to other games in the series and you again play Lara and the game is based around Natla who was last seen in Tomb Raider Anniversary coming back for revenge and you have to travel around the world to try and locate Thor's Hammer to finish of Natla once and for all.
