Total Annihilation gives you the power to control a mechanical army of units.

The game involves a range of different maps covering alien terrains from apocalyptic plains to solid metal lands. You start each campaign with your commander, he can create units and buildings from scratch. He uses energy to create buildings.

The different alien buildings have different uses. Some collect energy for further construction whilst others create units for battle, defense, scouting and to assist the commander with building projects.

You must create your army of machines as well as defenses for your army.

You must mine energy supplies and metals to build further. The number of units you can create is unlimited and the great thing about this game are the battles that take place once you meet your enemies.

Living up to its name each battle that commences really is total annihilation with potentially hundreds of units to control and all of them firing at the enemy. You must drive your way through the enemy hoards to destroy their commander, once the commander is destroyed you have basically won the game.

Fantastic fun and fast action packed.
