Advantages: Superb Graphics and sound; Easy to master; Relive 80's Nostalgia .

Disadvantages: Some may find the controls / actions fiddly or difficult .

I was a big fan of the film Tron when i was a kid growing up - I thought it would be great to be involved in an adventure within my computer, especially with those outstanding graphics (compared to my old Spectrum 48k anyway!!!!!). Imagine my suprise when i randomly stumbled upon this game on ebay and decided to buy it to fullfil my childhood dreams

Descibed by PC Gamer as being "One of the most visually beautiful and distinctive games we have ever encountered" - A statement a cannot disagree with. The look of this game is superb, great colour and backdrops and with a decent level of detail throughout, Tron 2.0 is stunning. It maintains the 'look' of the origianl Tron film too!!

I thought that maybe the visual element of this game would somehow detract from the gameplay or try to make up for it being a really bad game. However, i was wrong - the game has a simple control system and although it is quite complicated to execute moves and actions the tutorial does an excellent job of teaching the gamer how to play. Within 30 mins i was confident with the controls and ready to take on the game.

You play Jet Bradley, the son of Alan Bradley (original Tron creator) and end up digitised into cyberspace to pit your wits against corruption that is infecting the computer world. There is much to pit your wits against, including viruses and other such entities. Getting to ride on the lightcycles was a boyhood dream come true - especially when competing against others in the online arenas.

Overall, I would recommend this game to most people, especially to those who enjoyed the film. The game is fairly challenging and should last the player well over a month and spill over into the following months too! In addition, the online aspect of this game provides a greater element of challenge and should increase its shelf life too!!!

Overall 4/5. Very good game with a lot to offer - and at £3.96 +(P+P) from Amazon you cant go wrong
