Final Fantasy XI (PC): ... was my first experience of playing this sort of game, before I d only ever played the Sims and Fable. And I must admit that I love it. The graphics are gorgeous, the music is understated and there is a brilliant community. My friend spends all his time on this game, making friends, doing missions and generally having a good time. Whilst on the other hand I use it quite rarely and prefer to solo. The only thing ...

Trask Planetside (PC)
... strange one this, Massively Multiplayer Online First Person Shooters are much less prolific than their Role Playing Game counterparts and finding one worth of the playtime required to fully enjoy them is not an easy task. Planetside however may just be that game, especially suitable for you if you arnt content with just beating the 32 other players on your Counterstrike server and feel you need thousands of opponents. This game is intially extremely daunting, the massive areas, seemingly invincible adversaries and complex control system may put many players off early on. It is indeed hard to survive for more than a few seconds in combat without knowing something of t...

... great game, it truly has so much potential to it, sadly the one thing that jumped out at me, and hard mind you, was the learning curve the game presents. There is literally half the keyboard active that does something ingame, each class *and quite a few there are*, presents it s own keys and abilities. For the gamer who doesn t want to commit any real time, and just plays it for the lols will find themselves very confused and frustrated. Players who have been playing for a long time and can move around and fight effectively can pick you off before you can even see them. The vast array of abilities leaves beginners confused as to what to expect. Some invisible dude spr...

MaestroRage Heroes of Might & Magic V (PC)
... Heroes of Might and Magic series has always been something of great joy for me. A die hard fan all the way! With that said Ubisoft which has a rather good reputation to bringing out good games, has somewhat let down this round. In order to understand why this one was somewhat lacking, one must understand where the others were excelling. The fourth and third HoMM held luscious 2D sprite work which in an age of ruthless 3d modelling was a remarkable relief. UbiSoft decided to drop all that and go with models, but sadly the models were... rather poor in quality. Dumbed down and awkward moving. Storyline wise... oh dear god how I wish HoMM5 had followed the route of Ho...
