This game is definitely worth the money and you'll love it. It's designed for boys obviously but I'm sure girls and adults play on it too. It gives you a small taster of what the lorry driving world is like in real life and how time consuming and stressful it can be. It lets you learn about how to control a lorry in real life and how to manage your time properly so that you might your given deadlines.
There are many different lorries included in the game and as you get more money the better class of lorry you will be able to purchase.
My personal experience with this game:
I absolutely love this game as it gives you a taster of how it would be driving a lorry in the real world. It definitely helps you learn how to manage your time and keep what your doing in order.
It's definitely worth £ 25.00 for a brand new one. I got mine from GAME but they might not sell it anymore.
So yes, makesure you go out any bu this wondeful game.
Thanks for reading,
Well this is quite different from the other truck games made by SCS Software.
For a start, the game starts as a mission-based game. You will work for a trucking company in either Sheffield, Felixstowe or Plymouth. The company will pay for all running costs of the truck, including repairs, however you will have to pay fines for traffic offences yourself.
After a while of working for the company, you will earn enough money to buy your own truck and start your own company. It is slightly more in-depth than the other truck games made by SCS, you will have to buy branches and garages in order to hold and maintain more trucks for your company.
As the game is based in the UK, all driving is done on the left hand side of the road, and the steering wheel of the trucks is placed on the right hand side, something which hasn't been featured before in an SCS game.
The game is very similar to Euro Truck Simulator, it has much improved graphics, however the system requirements are more intense. The driving is much the same, perhaps a little more easier to handle, keeping in the lines isn't such a challenge now. A nice little feature is the fact that when you turn an indicator on/off, the handle on the edge of the steering wheel goes up and down. The speed on the dashboard is also shown on a LCD screen as well as a gauge so its easier to see. On a low resolution it's very difficult to read the gauges.
It did suffer some bad reviews, but i don't know why. The cities are depicted in a more realistic size, the driving feels more real, there is a deeper system to the game, instead of just delivering cargoes all day. I can't really find anything in the other games that this one doesn't have. Definitely the game to get, unless you can't run it.
Only problem i have, is that after about 8 trucking games made by SCS, there has never been a multiplayer mode in the series. A multiplayer mode is all that this game needs to be complete.
