The Ankaran sarcophagus contains the body of an ancient vampire, or at least that's what you are told it contains. There are a range of factions in L.A. that want to get hold of the sarcophagus and as such must stop other factions from doing so. You may choose to side with Prince LaCroix, Regent Strauss, the Anarchs, the Kuei-Jin or stand alone. There are five different endings to the game which correspond with your stance. Imagine my surprise when I went down to my local GAME store at the release of this game, ready with £30 to splurge when I look on the shelf and see it hastily reduced to a tenner. Bloodlines is a classic example of rushing out unfinished games to meet deadlines; it turns out that the game was impossible to complete without installing a patch - it would crash, guaranteed, on any system at a certain point in the storyline.
