I was browsing the AOL pc game demos section and came across Virtual Pool 2(don't worrie this op is about VPH). I thought why not download it and try it, so I did. I loved it its was great fun as when I’m on holiday I always enjoy a game of pool and this one was great fun. After a while, I deleted the demo because it was so repetitive and I forgot all about the game. I was browsing around in electronics boutique about a month afterwards and came across Virtual Pool 2 and it was priced at £10. I thought what a bargain, but unfortunately, I had no money with me. I went back to the shop about a week after with £20 and went straight to get ... Read the complete review

My mate gave me this game because he didn’t like, so I didn’t think id like it much, how wrong was I? I started off playing the game really uninterested because I wasn’t expecting much, but after my first shot, I noticed how realistic it was, and I was soon to be addicted to the playability. The game isn’t just for Pool, it includes Snooker too. I am not sure what I prefer out of Snooker and Pool, but having them both available to play on one game is fortunate. If you don’t have anyone else to play with, then you can always challenge the computer to a game. I think there are over one hundred computer players, and each has their own ... Virtual Pool Hall is what it says, a Virtual Pool Hall, and a lot more! You can play both 8 and 9 ball pool, snooker, billiards, and some other types of games. You can even play to different set of rules, and on different tables. Let me explain some more. The game installs and loads up with very little hassle. I bought it as part of a multi-pack at the bargain price of just £10, so I didn't get a manual, just a CD in a jewel case. But no problems, the CD autoran and installed very easily. The controls were easy to pick up, as it's all controlled by the keyboard and the mouse. Move the mouse around to aim the cue, and then hold down 'S' to stroke ... Read the complete review

If you want to purchase a top class pool game, i'd recommend it to be Virtual Pool Hall. There are so many different types of games like Snooker, Billiards and English-Style Pool plus you can enter tournaments and win with little problems. I myself find it quite enjoyable hitting the ball and seeing where it goes at pace. The controls are easy and you can play with virtually just the mouse. How simple is that! There's only one slight glitch in the game and that is that the graphics aren't that good. You can see all the balls and snooker cues in bright colors but there's not much else you can really see. The gameplay and ... Read the complete review

There have been several previous versions if Virtual Pool, but all have been improved upon and developed into this one fantastic compilation. Games include snooker, 9-ball and 8-ball pool, and billiards, amongst many other lesser-known games including Bowliards (A fusion of ten-pin bowling and pool) and Cribbage (based on the card game) if you become tired of the standard games. The compendium also allows the user to select one of four different games on which to play the game. Tables include snooker, billiards, championship pool (standard 9-ball table), and bar pool (the size of a standard pub table). This selection allows for realistic play of the different ...
