This game is brilliant!!!!!!! Set is victorian England you have a choice to control the movements of either the defensive Human or invading Martian civilizations. The human civilization is based around the defence of the British isles after an advancing alien army takes root upon Earth in the Grampian mountains in Scotland. You are incharge of British resource productions in the form of Coal, Oil and Steel. You are also in charge of factory and building creation such as shipyards, vehicle factories and aircraft hangars. This strategy game is loosely based on the excellent book by H.G. Wells, i differs from it at the start of the game. In this game you can either play as the humans and your job in this is to repel the martian attack from the shores of the UK, or you can play as the Martians where your job it to crush the puny humans into the ground. The game is playen in england which has been split up into different sectors. There is quite a lot of technologies that you can resarch into to improve your chances in either repelling the invaders or destroying the attackers. Remember that line? Then you're probalby a fan of the worldfamous musical by Jeff Wayne, or have been listening to the radio too much ten years ago. The lead song of the play roamed the stations at that time. It is based on the book by HG Well. Orson Welles made a radio play on it, allegedly alarming half the population into thinking we were actually being invaded by aliens from mars(thanx for the info Marcel).
