Advantages: Great visuals, atmosphere and exciting games

Disadvantages: Poor single player mode

The warhammer setting is a fantastic mythos for a computer game, and the squad-based gameplay is a good computer based analogy to the tabletop game itself. The visuals completely live up to the tradition of the universe also.

The games runs smoothly and is easy to play. Multiplayer functionality is great and where the games really works well, being smoothly balanced and a well-paced game without getting too confusing. The let-down on the game is the single player mode which is too linear and focuses more on moving the same squads around the map that tactics with bases and construction, which is why the multiplayer side of things is needed. If you prefer the campaigning element of the RTS then maybe this isn't quite going to satisfy you, but as a player v player battle games it's not been surpassed in my opinion.

Would be good to have a couple more races though!

Summary: A great game that just falls short of legendary
