Advantages: In incredibly addictive fast paced and exciting game

Disadvantages: Requires high and graphics card and Internet connection

Dawn of War is an amazing series and the new sequel, lives up to the reputation.

This game is based in the far future of can work games workshop's Warhammer 40,000 universe (commonly referred to as 40K) each race has many different choices it can make as to the characteristics of force. The campaign follows a newly promoted space marine force commander determined to protect the sub sector or Aurelia.

Finally dawn of war introduces the Tyranids as a playable faction, the tyranids are a monstrous swarm of mindless creatures whose only goal is to consume all life leaving nothing but dead world's in thier wake.

We also welcome back: the space Marines, ultimate defenders of the imperium of man; the orks barbaric and savage creatures with little or no intelligence with their leaders towering above the rest of the army they form undisciplined fighting groups known as mobs; and the Eldar, an ancient race for corrupted by their search for perfection, before the fall of the Eldar however many of these Xenos left their empire in giant, sentient, interstellar vessels known as Craftworlds, they are fickle creatures who would gladly take a billion human lives to save one of their own.

Dawn of War 2 elaborates on the idea of cover, which is far as I know was first used in an RTS By relic Dawn of War 1 overall there are only a few minor problems with game: unfortunately although each race there has been included has been covered in far greater detail than in the original series there are only four of them which is rather disappointing considering the diversity of Dawn of War Soulstorm and its nine factions. Also there seem to be very few mods out for this game, which I find disappointing in light of Dawn of War's rich modding history. Finally it must be installed on a computer which has Internet, via steam this means that on occasion when you go to play the game you will have to patch and update your game.

Summary: Brilliant, could use a few more races though

A mod is a file which is added to a game folder to customise gameplay.

Sounds good fun, what do you mean by modding?
