Advantages: Great graphics.

Disadvantages: Not quite as good as World of Warcraft.

The game that was supposed to be the WoW-beater. An excellent game, with plenty of atmosphere and many features that leave World of Warcraft standing. But, for me, it just didn't grab me as much as WoW. There are many similarities between the two games, in fact Warcraft was originally going to be Warhammer, but the owners of the Warhammer licence pulled out and left Blizzard with with what has become the most successful game of all time.

Another thing that put me off Warhammer was the fact that the gamecards never appeared in my local game stores, making it more difficult to pay the monthly fee.

Graphically it's a lot more advanced than WoW, but more of a game for older players because of the content.

Gameplay is aimed more at Player Vs Player than Player Vs Environment, but this doesn't neccessarily make it a bad thing. It's quite amusing coming across another player from the opposing side and killing them in battle . . . or being killed because they're 10 levels higher than yourself.

I've decided to leave the game alone for a while to see how it improves with the addition of new patches and content. For now I've monsters to kill and people to save in Azeroth!

Summary: A good game that, with time, may grow to be the one that kicks Blizzard off their throne.
