Warrior Kings (PC)

This RTS game is a classic example of a good idea ruined by insufficient playtesting and debugging. The release version I played was some of the most buggy software I have ever used, and really spoiled the experiance of playing the game. The game itself is a medieval yarn involving the player choosing between either a pagan or imperial path in an alternative 'Europe'. As an RTS is suffers from some very ordinary AI, but is redeemed by some excellent economic features, and some excellent graphics and sound, and a very interesting range of units and technologies.
