Advantages: fun at first

Disadvantages: boring after a while

I would often watch Who Wants To Be A Millionaire and always be the one at home yelling at the contestant to keep going, whether it be jeopardizing their prize money or not. After all, the climbing of the money ladder has great entertainment value, and the when the contestant "walks away with the money" it denies the chance of yet another question to the million.

The fastest finger was a surprising feature to me. Without thoroughly thinking about how it could work, I would've expected no options but that of a one player game. However, when you think of playing with more than one person, you expect more than one player interacting with the game. Actually, in this game, players compete in multiplayer to actually get into the "hot seat". So, playing multiplayer in this game isn't the same as in other programs where more than one player is actually interacting. Though this is a down side to this CD-Rom, it isn't a fault of the software, it is the mere structure of the game.

When you select multiplayer, the game instructs all of the players to put their finger on a random button on the keyboard for an instant buzzer. When the fastest finger starts, four answers are displayed on the screen, and depending on the question, need to be placed in the correct order. The four selections will shuffle in different order in many patterns, and the players will hit their buzzer when they feel the correct order is shown. The winner is selected by the screen showing which key was pressed when the right order was presented. If more than one of the players gets the order correct, the final judgement is who has the fastest finger.

Plainly looking at it, it is a good game. With great picture, sound, and even a hint of education, I think that this is one of the better games out there. Unfortunately, I do not own the first Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, therefore I cannot inform you about the difference between the two. The only diff
erence that I am aware of is that there are new questions in the second edition.

So, overall, it's a good game, that is really hard to turn off. It took me about ten tries at the million I completely gave up and went to bed one night. It's fun for awhile but after that, could get boring!!

Sounds addictive, but after a while don't you start getting repeated questions?

Is it just me, or is Who Wants To Be A Millionaire just a blatant rip off of the teletext game, Bamboozle?

Final answer...?

Cheer s, Jason. :)
