Advantages: Social interaction and level of content
Disadvantages: Juvenile players and ageing graphics
I started playing world or warcraft roughly four years ago, and i was utterly hooked!
Though, as time passed i found myself getting bored of the game.
There are many good points to it however.
The content i guess is pretty impressive, and the social interaction is fairly involving and fun. There is also regular content upgrades.
Though over the years i have noticed several large flaws.
The game is aimed at a fairly large age range, and thus it can be fairly juvenile at times. The violence is very low key, and and you spend a lot of the time feeling like a child whilst playing. This also causes many young gamers to play, which most older players will agree is irritating, as these people generally suck when it comes to grouping, and can be clingy and irritating when it comes to social networking.
I would personally recommend various other online games such as Conan, Hyborian Adventures, as this is set to a more mature age level, and the graphics are far superior. For a game which has been out for under a year, it impresses me.
World of Warcraft i would recommend to younger players, or perhaps adults who wish to play a game which their children can also be a part of.
Summary: Set for younger gamers
