This was the long awaited first expansion pack for the excellent MMORPG for PC, World of Warcraft.

This game allows you to take your characters through a further 10 levels and opens up a large number of additional instances and zones.

The gameplay is as good as ever and some of the new zones are really fresh, I particularly like Zangarmarsh myself - lots of swamps and fireflies. You can also buy the ability to have a flying mount in these new areas, and two new races are now available to play - the incredibly cool-looking Draenai (Alliance) and the slightly effeminate blood elves (Horde).

Some of the end content is only really accessible if you are a serious gamer, however - there isn't quite so much for the casual gamer, or at least not as much as I had hoped. And while some of the areas are very interesting and attractive, this is not the case for all of them.

Still definitely a must-have if you are a Warcraft aficionado, but I feel that it would have been much better if there had been more to do as a solo player or as a casual gamer.
