Advantages: Suitable for all, a lot of fun, very customizable, cheap, funny and surreal.

Disadvantages: Only really available for PC, single-player mode is less fun than multiplayer.

Worms 2 is a 2D artillery-strategy platformer in which the player controls a team of worms with heavy-duty weaponry. This includes bazookas, grenades, mines, cluster bombs, dynamite, uzis, shotguns, miniguns mortars.

Alongside these however, there are also some rather surreal elements to their arsenal, including exploding sheep, homing pigeons, priceless ming-vases, old women, mad cows, super sheep, mail strikes, banana bombs and everyone's favourite; the concrete donkey.

The game is best-played with two or more players, although the single-player campaign and custom games are certainly enjoyable. The AI is very good, although often only utilizes conventional weaponry.

The gameplay is easy to pick up and is a lot of fun to play with friends, it is one of those few games that work really well as a group activity, and is often genuinely funny.

The game comes with a map-editor, a sound-bank editor (the worms' voices can be altered,) a weapons editor and a terrain editor. It is possible to ally teams with the AI, name each of your worms and team, control weapon-crate-drops and mess with reinforcements. -- There's a lot of room to make the game your own.

There is also an online facility that comes with game, so that you can play with people around the world, which makes a lot more sense than passing the keyboard and mouse across the room.

It is suitable for all audiences and I imagine would make a good family activity that anyone can enjoy.

All in all, you'll get a lot of laughs and a lot of enjoyment from this game, although you'll definitely enjoy it more if you play against your friends.
