Worms 2. The first game I played in this great fun and child friendly series.

This game is a turn based,2d strategic shooting game. The game allows up to six players to play either over lan/tcp-ip or hotseat mode on one computer. Each player has a team of worms which can have up to eight worms in it. During a teams turn they can only move one of their worms. The objective of a traditional match or campaign mission is to defeat all opposing teams by killing their worms.

There is quite alot of strategic decisions to make in this game such as retreating to better positions with more cover. Selecting the best weapon and best way to damage another worm and which worm to use and in some cases which worm to let die.

When firing most weapons you must choose the angle and power of the shot. The game includes a wide variety of weapons inlcuding shotgun, bazooka, hand grenade and the sheep, which serves as a mobile explosive. In a normal match, all teams begin with the same weapons though Some weapons may only be available after a certain number of turns have passed. The game includes both weapon and option editors, each offering a very high level of customisation over many game-play elements.

The game includes a level editor allowing creation of basic maps for you to wage warfare on. All other maps except campaign maps are randomly generated meaning there are an unlimited amount of maps that the game can create instantly for you to play.

The games graphics are very cartoony and the game is very low on the violence side. The game is quite easy to play and is a great gift for young and older children alike.
