Over the years there have been several games that have been so big that they have become a kind a legend. One of these games has to be Worms, for some reason the thought of trying to kill worms with various kinds of weapons has appealed to millions of people worldwide. Worms has come in many versions, each not really a great advance, but adding different humorous weapons. There's nothing like killing harmless worms on a sunday afternoon. This game is like no other, you can choose which weapon you would like to butcher your next worm with. The game looks very similar to the original Lemmings game, the difference being as you can do to these worms that you always wanted to do to those lemmings, mutilate them in anyway possible. There's a really massive difference in quality between the original and this updated version. You can play with up to 7 friends (so thats 8 people in total), on one of possibly thousands of levels. Each person can give their team a name, a distinctive voice - such as the scouser, and have individually named worms. There are so many different structures that you can do battle on, all of which can be customised (change water colour, land design etc.), that you'll never remember playing the same one twice (unless you've either got an amazing memory or you actually want to - you don't have to change every time). If you have played the original Worms then at first you will not like Worms 2. The reason is because the layout is different, it has moved from DOS to Windows and has been completely redesigned. The worms are now more like cartoons and isnt a classic arcade game any more. BUT!! if you havent played the original Worms then you will enjoy it straight away! Now for the updates to the game: There are loads more weapons!! i mean loads. You also have more control on the weapons like power and speed etc. For example you can make a Bomb have a tiny explosion yet damage the worms really badly.
