The original game in the Xcom series, known as UFO: Enemy Unknown, is a brilliant mix of turn-based tactical combat and real-time micromanagement, requiring you to command an organisation dedicated to fighting off a full-scale alien invasion by reasaerching and manufacturing new weapons and technologies, building facilities and shooting down UFOs before engaging in tacticalcombat with the occupants of the downed alien ships. In the overland map you see Mega Primus from an isometric perspective. It?s from this perspective that you control your vehicles against the enemy spaceships ... Read the complete review

X-Com:Apocalypse The third game in the series. The first game to allow real-time as well as turn-based strategy. Having never played the game in real-time I can't comment but the turn-based game play does the game as many favours as it could in fairness to the previous titles. Don't get me wrong, X-Com 3 had as many great points in it as the previous two titles but I just didn't find this game as addictive as the first game UFO: Enemy Unknown. I feel I didn't enjoy it as much because I prefered the modern day environments rather than the futuristic city but if you prefer the sci-fi feel or that kind of thing doesn't bother you then I would ...
