Advantages: Just Excellent
Disadvantages: Can't really find one
X-Com:Apocalypse The third game in the series. The first game to allow real-time as well as turn-based strategy. Having never played the game in real-time I can't comment but the turn-based game play does the game as many favours as it could in fairness to the previous titles. Don't get me wrong, X-Com 3 had as many great points in it as the previous two titles but I just didn't find this game as addictive as the first game UFO: Enemy Unknown. I feel I didn't enjoy it as much because I prefered the modern day environments rather than the futuristic city but if you prefer the sci-fi feel or that kind of thing doesn't bother you then I would recommend this game over the other one. An excellent game allowing you to fight hordes of alien troops with a band of soliders, shoot down UFO's with your own crafts, research the alien race and other products with quantum physicians and bio-chemists plus much much more. Brilliant in every respect.

- 13/03/04 A good attempt, but unfortunately this review is sorely lacking information...
I would recommend the use of headings (sound/graphics/gameplay etc) - this will help you to group information. It will also have the added bonus of giving your reviews a clear and reader-friendly structure, which will encourage more readers to come back to your writing - so you will ultimately get more reads.
Just a little friendly advice...
Dave :)

- 10/03/04 You're right, this is a classic game, and there's so much more you could say about it to give an idea about whether it's worth buying... |
