Advantages: A vast improvement on an already good game

Disadvantages: eats hours and hours

The first Xcom was addictive despite some really cheesy bits like the air combat, and the second was addictive and a definite improvement, but the third game is miles ahead of the first two. It's amazing that you would actually WANT to spend hours doing the same basic plot for a third time, but believe me you will. The game takes place in a city with a few dozen different groups. Some are more important to you than others, because some of them sell you vital equipment. If they are taken over by aliens, you may be in big trouble. There are more weapons, more technologies, a greater variety of aliens and crafts, and a much better air and ground combat system. It's also quite hard, so be careful out there!
