What better way to translate a TV series to game than allowing the player to be one of the main characters’ colleagues? Just the novelty of being an FBI agent alongside the X Files fanatics is enough to sate the appetite of RPG players alone.

The nice thing about this game is that if you get bored, you can just wander around and look at complete rubbish around the rooms if you want to. If you want to go rifling through someone’s drawers or take a peek at Skinner’s trophy cabinet, you can. In fact, it’s positively encouraged. There are nice interfaces too eg. PDA and PC to access e-mail, maps etc. Mobile phones to call people.

You even get to solve your own X File. What more could you ask for. There’s always that problem of not being an X Files fan, in which case, why are you reading this?
