After a visit to Jersey zoo on honeymoon, I couldn't resist buying this game when we got home. Since then I have neglected friends and family, eaten only pot noodles and other food taking under 5 minutes to prepare, and I smell terrible. It's that sort of game. The same happened when I first discovered Sim City. In fact, I'm surprised I've even made it back to the land of um... (deletes Ciao hurriedly, thanks everyone) ... Dooyoo! This is a fantastic 'sim' game where the objective is to build a zoo, breed endangered animals, keep your visitors happy and make a profit. Easy peasy! You can choose to play a 'scenario' game, where you ... Read the complete review

Zoo Tycoon the latest addition the tycoon series of games. Yes there are so many of them and yes some of them are really bad. All though there are some classics included in this genre. For example the sim city series and the mighty Roller Coaster Tycoon games. These are the high points of sim games, and Zoo Tycoon ranks up there with the best of them. Developed by Microsoft and Bluefang this great game is also great value for money. The reason I say this is that Microsoft offer free update patches, new animals and objects that can be added to your Zoo's. All these things can be downloaded from the official Zoo Tycoon Website. Over the years the ‘Tycoon’ style of management games have been springing up all over the place where you have to say that they have surely reached saturation point by now. I’ve never been much of a fan of this type of game right from the beginnings with the evolution of games like Sim City and Populous style God games before they turned to smaller more localised ideals like managing a theme park, train network or now in this incarnation a zoo. I suppose if you’ve always wanted to be a train driver, theme park owner etc. then there is some kind of fun to be garnered from them but never having had such lofty(?) ideals I can’t really see the .. This is a Pc game, which is very similar to roller coaster tycoon; it’s fantastic and so much fun to play. I would some times sit up until the early hours of the morning playing it, it is that addictive. The object of the game is to create and build your own zoo; you have to try to keep it in profit. You are given targets at the start of each park, For example build a zoo, with a good park rating and so many visitors within a certain time. If you manage to hit the target in this amount of time, you are automatically given a new but harder zoo to complete. Once you have completed so many zoo’s, it all gets quite hectic, the customers are ... Read the complete review

I bought this game a few months ago and i just cannot put it down. The object of this game is pretty similar to the theme park type games only there is a lot more to do and think about. You are best off by doing the tutorial's rather than read the instructions as they are much easier to follow. Once you have done that you can either choose to play a freeform game, which is basically a game where you open a zoo and make it a sucess IE: make the animals happy as well as the guests and also make a load of money. This is fun but i must say after a while i got bored with the freeform game. Then you have the scenarios and there are ... Read the complete review
