This power supply has been quietly doing its job in my computer for a while now with no fuss so I thought was definitely worthy of a positive review.
Many people overlook the power-supply of their computer as a necessary but unimportant component, however they do contribute hugely to computer stability. It has been found through many studies, surveys, etc, that a huge number of computer faults, recurrent crashes, blue-screens-of-death, etc, can be contributed to issues with the power supply.
If you buy a cheap power supply the quality of the power it supplies to the computer is likely to be quite iffy and you can end up with quite an unstable system. Go very cheap and you risk a dodgy supply ruining your computer. So a good power supply is definitely worth investing in.
So this brings me on to the Enermax Liberty.
It seems to do a very good job and providing a good power supply to the computer components, and this was verified by an independent group-test review of it once where they had the supplies hooked up to special test devices to monitor how it behaved under different loads / current draws.
But on top of this, its also very quiet, well made, and the modular cabling design makes keeping my computer case very tidy. The cables are bundled and wrapped nicely and the connectors are well made and fit tightly.
Best of all, most of the time I don't even know its there. It does its job, it does it well, and I never have to worry about it... exactly as it should be!
