John+Thompson Abbey Life Pension Schemes: ... started an Abbey Life Pension in 1985. The big advantage was that in 2007 the annuity rate is almost double that available now. However, I wanted retire after my 57th birthday in July. The delays, including " please confirm your DOB" and a variety of delaying letters has caused my fund to be devalued by £9,000 in only a couple of months. I am not happy at all and will be taking further action with FSA....
