Always Ultra Long Sanitary Towels
by thriftygiftyisme
=Always Ultra Long Sanitary Towels=
Over the years I have used many brands of Sanitary towels, I never really got on with tampons, so having a comfortable towel is an important factor for me, both in the comfort factor and the collection element.
=Always Ultra=
After having my daughter 10 years ago, I needed a ... stronger absorbency and after trying a few different brands, I found Always to be the best, I especially liked the length of the towel, as when you are moving around, you need to know your protected.
=The Packet=
The towels come in 14 pack and 32 pack, and they are individually wrapped, depending on the towel, they are green, lilac and purple. On the front of the packet it tells you which one you are buying.
The ones I have is the Always Ultra "Long Plus with Wings", and that they have Odour Neutralising Actipearls. On the remainder of the packet the information tells us that they are made by P&G, they are high absorbency towels, and contact details for the manufacturer.
Each towel is individually wrapped, and the pattern is a pale lilac and purple swirl pattern. The wrapper is easy to peel off, and this can be used to wrap the previous towel in.
=The Towel=
The towels are wrapped individually, and you open up and the towel comes away from the outer wrapper, these towels have wings, and you just remove the sticky backing off.
=Comfort=
The pad is extremely comfortable and has a high absorbent factor, running in the middle of the towel is a pale blue pattern, this is designed to absorb the liquid and this takes the liquid away from the top layer so it is away from the body, and into the towel.
=Long Fitting=
At first the impression is that the length of the towel feels very long, but it is comfortable and once you are wearing it, you forget the length, and with the wings these have a strong sticky element, which keeps the pad in place.
=Thin=
The towel is slim and again one of my concerns was is this actually going to work, I had visions that I was going to flood through in 30 seconds flat, but after a few visits to the bathroom, I was very impressed, and was then reassured that my initial panic was actually that, panic.
=Time=
When it came time to change the pad, I was able to use the wrapper from the new towel to wrap the old one in and dispose of in a bin.
=My Overall thoughts=
I found these and still do, to be one of the best on the market, I feel more secure when I have the "wings", and whether I have trousers, jeans, or a skirt, I know I do not need to worry about any unexpected leaks.
=Price and Availability=
These can be purchased from many retailers, from supermarkets, Superdrug, Boots, to name but a few, price wise they are between £1.50 and £3.00 depending on the size of the pack and whether there is a promotion on.
Just to add there are some things in life we can scrimp on, but these are definitely one item that I won't scrimp on. Read the complete review |

Always Daily Panytliners
by MsTricia
~ Sorry guys, going to talk about some lady stuff here! ~
Usually in terms of using sanitary products I have to confess I am not a particularly loyal person, and usually use what is on offer, (i.e. with pads etc) but for some reason with pantyliners I have just always been more drawn to using Always as they are pretty cheap, ... are easily available and do the job well. Often for at least 2 days after my period I find I have quite a lot of discharge and although I have been to the doctors about it, I have been told it is nothing out of the ordinary and I am fine down there. However, I don't like the feeling and since I can't change my knickers every hour or so, I took the initiative some time ago to just start wearing pantyliners and since doing so these have been brilliant.
A box of 20 daily pantyliners, only costs £1.05 in Superdrug (although I can often spot a box in the 99p store saving a whopping 6p, hoorah!) which to me is really good value for a name brand variety of pantyliners. Inside the box, they are all neatly and individually wrapped making it really easy to just take one at a time, and discreetly keep one in my handbag at all times for when I am out and about.
The box states that "Only Always pantyliners have this unique combination of technology: Side protection zones, 2in1 soft, optimal hold, flexible, dermatologically tested, odour protection and breathable." Now, without going into fancy technological detail I have to say that these pantyliners have really been fabulous. They are really sticky and so adhere to my underwear easily, and more often than not I completely forget they are there as I don't get that awful feeling when walking when I can feel it rubbing between my legs or it moving around like I have experienced with really cheap brands in the past. I don't find I need to change these often because they have great absorption and (trying not to be gross here!) although my discharge can feel quite thick with no pantyliner, when I wear one pantyliner, it can last me a good 4 hours and feels like there is no leakage. There is no awful smell, thanks to absorbing pearls and I feel relatively dry for ages which is a plus.
Overall, I have had absolutely no problems with these pantyliners and would recommend them in a heartbeat. Sure they are more expensive than some supermarket own brand versions, but for these I do think paying a little bit more is worth it for the protection and providing a long lasting, fresh feeling that lasts all day. Always Daily Panytliners
by Whizz11
I'm going to talk about a rather embarrassing subject now so apologies but its something that I'm sure many ladies will understand.
After I had my second baby everything was so loose down there that whenever I sneezed or coughed a little bit of wee would come out, yes, I know, very embarrassing and very inconvenient. I'm ... pleased to say now over time and after doing a lot of pelvic floor exercises this is no longer the case but during that time these Always Daily Pantyliners were a godsend.
Always pantyliners are described as, "discreet, with soft, breathable materials for all day comfort and freshness. They are basically a small thin version of a sanitary towel and the thought behind them is that you apply them to your underwear to protect from any slight mishaps during the day. If you do happen to have a little wee then you can change the liner and put on a new one and your are fresh and ready to face the day again. I really liked them because they were so handy to change and it meant my underwear did not get wet or dirty and all I had to change was a little pad which was great if you are out and about and can't really change your underwear.
The panyliners are all individually wrapped which is great because you can just slip a few in your bag or even if your pocket if you want to go into the toilet and have a quick discreet change. The liners are wrapped in a blue plastic wrapping and you simply unwrap this and unfold the liner. Then, there is a sticky strip on the liner which you just have to peel off and then it sticks nicely to your underwear. I found the sticky strip was perfect and it stuck well and I never had a problem with the liner moving or coming off. The liner is very thin, it's not intended to be a big absorption pad, just something to catch little accidents and so being so thin it was very discreet and you could not see it under clothes which was great. The liners always worked well for me, they helped to catch any little accidents and kept me nice and fresh which was the most important thing.
The pad has a bit of a contour to it so it fits your underneath quite well in my opinion. It's fairly long too so I felt protected whenever I wore one and felt that it gave me a ncie fit whilst still being very small and insignificant. They offer odor protection as well which was nice because if I wasn't able to change them straight away I knew that I would not suffer any smells or anything and still felt clean until I was able to change them.
I found this to be quite economical. I didn't need to wear one everyday and so at just £2.09 for a pack of 32 I thought that was a good price for over a months worth of protection and they say me through a very embarrassing time! Read the complete review |
