Asda Shades Moist Bathroom Tissues
by katykicker
Moisturising toilet tissues are something that I normally keep in my handbag. I have them on hand for times when I am visiting a public toilet as I often find that they either have toilet paper that is like sandpaper or no toilet paper at all.
The particular moist tissues that I have purchased recently are these Shades ... fragranced wipes. These wipes come in a blue packet with a plastic flip top lid. There is also a seal that can be opened and stuck back down again to keep these wipes clean and hygienic. Within the packet there are 40 wipes and with this packet currently costing 79p these wipes are just 2p each and very economical for times when I am on the move.
These wipes are flushable, which is very handy and hygienic of course, and the packet claims that they are biodegradable too. I sometimes use two of these at a time and I have had no problems with them flushing away at all. Now generally I am not using these particular ones in my own home but I do not want to leave a mess behind for someone else to find so these wipes do exactly what they say they will!
Now my reason for using these toilet wipes is mainly for convenience. I do not want to be in a public toilet and be caught short with no toilet paper. For a while I carried around pocket tickets with me but I found that they weren't very hygienic and sometimes the seal would open in my bag and leave them covered with dirt and dust. This was when I decided to start carrying around some toilet wipes with me. Now I carry a large handbag with me most of the time so this isn't really a problem for me but obviously they aren't as convenient as pocket tissues.
These toilet wipes are interleaved meaning when you remove one that the next one should present itself ready to use. This is ideal for me as it means that I don't have to dig around in the packet to get a wipe out. The wipes are thin but they are strong despite this and I have not had any problems with them tearing when being used. The size is reasonable and almost comfortably covers the palm of my hand. This obviously avoids any mess occurring which is another benefit of using these. The scent of these wipes is very gentle and is just a nice, clean, fresh scent without being overly scented. There is a nice texture to these wipes and they are nice and soft.
If I have the opportunity I will use toilet tissue first and then finish with one of these wipes. This helps to keep me feeling fresh all day which is ideal if I am out shopping, for lunch or just generally away from home for several hours and I want to stay feeling fresh and clean. Obviously if there is no toilet tissue available then I just use a wipe or two by itself. These wipes work very well at cleaning and freshening sensitive areas and they leave me feeling relaxed and refreshed when I am out and about. They are moist but not overly wet and this means that the area dries quickly which is good of course. They are not harsh at all and even if I use them several times a day, if I am out shopping for the day for example, they work very well and leave me feeling fresh, clean and fantastic. I am rating these wipes 5/5 stars and will definitely buy them again. Read the complete review |

Asda Shades Moist Bathroom Tissues
by basketofbuttons
I always make sure we have some sort of moist toilet wipe in our house. I've tried a few different types, mainly shop's own brands, but the ones I am currently using are Asada's own brand which cost 80p for a pack of forty moist wipes in a resealable little clip don container.
These most wipes from Asada come in two different ... sorts. There's the original variety or the Aloe Vera ones. I've tried them both and I personally have no preference as they are each nice and both have a slightly different smell but both do a great job at ensuring our bits are nice and clean and fresh.
The packaging is good because unlike some moist wipes I've used which simply have a resealable strip to press down over the pack when you have removed as many wipes as you want, these actually come with a little clippy lid which clicks into place and ensures that all the wipes inside remain nice and fresh and moist.
Each wipe is white in colour and oblong in shape. They are a thick wipe and as such, they do not shred when they are being used or drop to bits. One wipe is usually sufficient to ensure all is nice and as clean as it should be. My daughter likes to use these wipes herself in conjunction with dry toilet paper and she complains if we ever run out!
The wipes do smell nice and fresh and clean but they are not too heavily perfumed like the ones I bought from Marks and Spencer. They are also fully flushable as they are made from a biodegradable material and they do flush well and don't remain in the toilet bowl after use.
Occasionally they can be found on special offer in Asada (buy one get one free) but last time I was in there they were still selling at full price. If I had to find one fault with these wipes, it's that they can become very wet as you reach the last few in the pack. They are actually so wet that they are beyond moist and can be a little unpleasant to use. For this reason, I rotate the pack, which seems to prevent too much moisture from sinking right to the bottom.
Overall though, they are great wipes. They are useful, practical, easy to use and they keep us all fresh and clean.
Highly recommended.

Asda Freestyle Hygiene Intimate Wash
by headsore
My dear other half likes to use a special wash for her 'bits' and the ones she buys (and we both use) is the one from Asda and it only costs £1 a bottle. As I say, both of us use it though I think it might be specifically targeted towards ladies, it doesn't actually say this on the bottle - it only says it's a Hygiene Intimate Wash. We ... both have intimate bits so I personally see no reason for me not to use it and my dear other half doesn't seem to mind when I partake.
The bottle is a pale pink / peach colour and made of plastic. This cleaner is especially PH balanced so it is fine to use on the sensitive skin on your bits and bobs. I suffer from sensitive skin anyway and I have to be really careful if I use soap 'down there' so this is perfect for me.
I apply the wash to a clean flannel when I am in the shower and rub it roughly around the crotch and anal area and I find it very pleasant to use. It has a light floral smell and though it is a little runny to use it is actually fine. It does lather, but not as much as a soap or shower gel does and it smells fairly neutral - certainly not too 'girly' or I wouldn't be using it.
I like this intimate wash because it contains aloe vera and chamomile - both ingredients are excellent for a sensitive skin. I feel no tingly sensation after I have used it - unlike the hot mint body wash I used once 'down there' and it felt like I had washed my bits bit chilli peppers. This was is exceptionally mild and I feel really cleansed and very refreshed after I have used it.
Overall, both me and my wife are delighted with our intimate body wash and I shall buy more of it once we have used this up. Read the complete review |
