      brilliant pantyliners from always

~ Sorry guys, going to talk about some lady stuff here! ~

Usually in terms of using sanitary products I have to confess I am not a particularly loyal person, and usually use what is on offer, (i.e. with pads etc) but for some reason with pantyliners I have just always been more drawn to using Always as they are pretty cheap, are easily available and do the job well. Often for at least 2 days after my period I find I have quite a lot of discharge and although I have been to the doctors about it, I have been told it is nothing out of the ordinary and I am fine down there. However, I don't like the feeling and since I can't change my knickers every hour or so, I took the initiative some time ago to just start wearing pantyliners and since doing so these have been brilliant.

A box of 20 daily pantyliners, only costs £1.05 in Superdrug (although I can often spot a box in the 99p store saving a whopping 6p, hoorah!) which to me is really good value for a name brand variety of pantyliners. Inside the box, they are all neatly and individually wrapped making it really easy to just take one at a time, and discreetly keep one in my handbag at all times for when I am out and about.

The box states that "Only Always pantyliners have this unique combination of technology: Side protection zones, 2in1 soft, optimal hold, flexible, dermatologically tested, odour protection and breathable." Now, without going into fancy technological detail I have to say that these pantyliners have really been fabulous. They are really sticky and so adhere to my underwear easily, and more often than not I completely forget they are there as I don't get that awful feeling when walking when I can feel it rubbing between my legs or it moving around like I have experienced with really cheap brands in the past. I don't find I need to change these often because they have great absorption and (trying not to be gross here!) although my discharge can feel quite thick with no pantyliner, when I wear one pantyliner, it can last me a good 4 hours and feels like there is no leakage. There is no awful smell, thanks to absorbing pearls and I feel relatively dry for ages which is a plus.

Overall, I have had absolutely no problems with these pantyliners and would recommend them in a heartbeat. Sure they are more expensive than some supermarket own brand versions, but for these I do think paying a little bit more is worth it for the protection and providing a long lasting, fresh feeling that lasts all day.

      Pantyliners

I'm going to talk about a rather embarrassing subject now so apologies but its something that I'm sure many ladies will understand.

After I had my second baby everything was so loose down there that whenever I sneezed or coughed a little bit of wee would come out, yes, I know, very embarrassing and very inconvenient. I'm pleased to say now over time and after doing a lot of pelvic floor exercises this is no longer the case but during that time these Always Daily Pantyliners were a godsend.

Always pantyliners are described as, "discreet, with soft, breathable materials for all day comfort and freshness. They are basically a small thin version of a sanitary towel and the thought behind them is that you apply them to your underwear to protect from any slight mishaps during the day. If you do happen to have a little wee then you can change the liner and put on a new one and your are fresh and ready to face the day again. I really liked them because they were so handy to change and it meant my underwear did not get wet or dirty and all I had to change was a little pad which was great if you are out and about and can't really change your underwear.

The panyliners are all individually wrapped which is great because you can just slip a few in your bag or even if your pocket if you want to go into the toilet and have a quick discreet change. The liners are wrapped in a blue plastic wrapping and you simply unwrap this and unfold the liner. Then, there is a sticky strip on the liner which you just have to peel off and then it sticks nicely to your underwear. I found the sticky strip was perfect and it stuck well and I never had a problem with the liner moving or coming off. The liner is very thin, it's not intended to be a big absorption pad, just something to catch little accidents and so being so thin it was very discreet and you could not see it under clothes which was great. The liners always worked well for me, they helped to catch any little accidents and kept me nice and fresh which was the most important thing.

The pad has a bit of a contour to it so it fits your underneath quite well in my opinion. It's fairly long too so I felt protected whenever I wore one and felt that it gave me a ncie fit whilst still being very small and insignificant. They offer odor protection as well which was nice because if I wasn't able to change them straight away I knew that I would not suffer any smells or anything and still felt clean until I was able to change them.

I found this to be quite economical. I didn't need to wear one everyday and so at just £2.09 for a pack of 32 I thought that was a good price for over a months worth of protection and they say me through a very embarrassing time!

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

Good liners but not enough to convince me to change!

I would sometimes have used pantyliners in the past when it came to the last few days of my period, but that was really it, however, since having my daughter I have tended to use a pantyliner daily as things just aren't as tight as they once were! I have been purchasing the Tesco own range of pantyliners and have been happy to continue to do so, but when I ran out a few weeks ago, and was doing my weekly shop, with my usual pantyliners being out of stock, I had no choice but to choose another option, and I thought I would try these Always daily pantyliners, since I frequently use Always as a brand of towels when it is time of the month.

For a pack of twenty individually wrapped pantyliners, it will set you back just over a pound, which doesn't seem excessive, but it is more than the average supermarket own brand pack of towels, and given the Tesco value range costs just over 20p! WHen you think about what it is used for, nobody likes to throw money away, on something that is thrown away in the bin.

First of all I will say, that having the little pantyliners individually wrapped is useful, as they can then be slipped easily into a pocket or into your handbag and are therefore much more discrete in comparison to pantyliners that aren't wrapped and are harder to hid in your bag etc!

These pantyliners are designed to give ultimate hold to your underwear, and they are definitely very sticky and will stay in place for as long as required. In fact, they are so sticky, depending on the type of underwear, they can take a bit of pulling to remove.

These pantyliners are also meant to be breathable and have a 2 in 1 top absorbing layer with a 'soft veil' on top. This certainly doesn't make these pantyliners uncomfortable and in fact they are very comfortable to wear. You don't even feel that you have a liner on, and at certain times of the month when there is more chance of moisture etc they certainly keep you feeling very very dry. THe inclusion of odour neutralising pearls is also good, as any potential smells are kept at bay, as long as the liner is changed obviously!

I certainly have found these liners to be very good and they work very well. I like that they are individually wrapped and they are definitely very absorbent, even when used at the tail end of a period, they are absorbent enough to keep you feeling dry. My only negative comes to the price, in comparison to supermarket own brands, which keep me dry too though these Always liners probably have the edge, I would probably still purchase the supermarket brand simply they work well too and are cheaper!

        Great product

I am a women who likes to keep clean and fresh as we all do and so have worn pantyliners since my teenage years. They have the benefit of keeping you fresh as a daisy (well as much as you can be down there!) and are great for times when you are due to start your period or finish it and for those little emergencies. I have tried many types and have often found that some brands can not be the most comfortable of liners! The last thing you want is to be left sore or to find they have moved around and dislodged in your knickers! I stumbled across Always Liners (was Aldays) and have used them ever since. The benefits I find are they are just the right thickness needed and they stay well in place, no soreness or movement and they have an invisible feel to them. They are soft and comfortable and I honestly dont even really notice they are there, which is spot on. I would say ive tried enough brands to be able to say with confidence, these are the best. They have saved many little emergencies for me and I honestly would not switch to another brand.

A great product in my opinion!

When it comes to personal hygiene it's something I am seriously very fussy about indeed. Lets face it ladies no matter what we do freshness all day long is very hard to achieve in certain areas.... ahem!

I like a lot of ladies on here like nice undies and as a way of protecting them from any marks at all I do choose to wear pantyliners rather alot. Great for nights out when loos run out of toilet paper, or when your coming off your period etc they are cheap and an easy to dispose of product of course.

Me, I've tried loads of brands of pantyliners over the years and whilst I will use cheap ones I do usually find the padding a bit annoying as they tend to be crammed full of cotton wool and the top layer is papery and a bit uncomfortable which is why recently I decided to pay a little bit more than I would usually and see what more expensive and well known brands were offering in this area which is why when I saw these in Poundland recently I decided to give them a go!

        The Packaging:

Purple and light pink oblong box and the front and the back are the same in appearance. I'm told that they are 'New' Individually Wrapped, Daily Pantyliners, Normal Freshness and that in my box I have 20 pantyliners and that they are breathable with a gentle fragrance, I'm told some bits of information in a foreign language and that they also contain odour protection and I'm shown a diagram of how they are individually wrapped and there is a clear plastic 'window' of which I can see some of the pantyliners wrapped up through. Other information on the box includes being told a bit about other products from the Always range, I'm shown a diagramn of the pantyliner (and this is where the box opens and closes from via a perforated line) and I'm told contact details for Procter & Gamble (the manufacturer of the product). Nice enough box and I like the side opening and window feature this has to it too.

        The Pantyliners:

Well as promised each pantyliner is individually wrapped and they are wrapped in a light blue thin plastic and waterproof wrapper. At the back of the wrapper they are stuck together by a small piece of white tape and you simply undo that and unfold the pantyliner out. When you open it out your met with a thin white pantyliner with a slight curve to it's middle part and what to me looks like slight grooves near the outer edges of the pad which is a safety barrier (for liquid) and you simply have to pull the liner away from the backing and then tear off the white and blue paper label at the back of it to use it to adhere it to your pants! Simple. I like the small discreet packaging these possess and when you go to use the pantliner you can see that much thought has gone into the shape and design of it and not only does it look a quality liner it feels one too.

It's easy to stick to your pants and the size of these are really great. They are not tiny but large enough, I like the thinness of the feel of them (I can forget they're there!) and I also appreciate the length of them too. The liner (before using it lol) does have a very gentle aroma of flowers to it which gives it a fresh feel and once you've put it in your pants it stays put really, really well until you remove it.

        Verdict:

These are superb quality. Not only do they offer a bit of protection throughout the day, they stay put and remove well. They don't dislodge themselves, crumple up or shred and all you have to do to dispose of them is to bin them when you want to!

I really do like the quality and wearability (if that's even a word lol) of these. Ever so simple to use and forget they're there, I see them as a very discreet and comfortable protection for light spillage and/or messes! A great product and expect to pay about £1.89 a box for these in all good supermarkets and chemists etc.
