Advantages: Comfortable, high quality
Disadvantages: Expensive
OK, I think I'll start this review with an apology to any male Dooyoo-ers who have bravely clicked on to it in an attempt to return rates! It's very kind of you, and don't worry, I'll keep it short and to the point!
This is my favourite product for my time of the month, and I've tried enough different brands to know which one is best! I use Always Ultra Normal With Wings, and I find that they are far superior to the other makes available. Here's a few of the reasons why:
Each pad is individually wrapped. This means that each one stays fresh, clean and dry even if you are carting it around in your handbag or rucksack all day long. I've sometimes kept ones in my bag for weeks just in case, and they have been like new when finally unwrapped. The only drawback here is possibly that the excess packaging isn't great for the environment.
The wings ensure that there are never any leakages, as does the super absorbent material.
They have 'CleanFeel' technology which keeps them feeling dry during use.
They have a 'Secureguard' countoured design which directs liquid into the centre of the pad and so away from the sides.
They have a 'cotton-like' feeling which is really soft and comfortable.
They are much slimmer than a lot of pads at just 3mm, and so you don't really notice that you are wearing them, and they aren't as likely to show through clothes.
I've never had any problems using these pads and will continue to buy them as long as they keep making them! These pads are available in packs of 14 or 28 and can be bought from almost any supermarket or pharmacy. A single pack will cost you about £1.50 and a jumbo pack will set you back around £2.90, though prices can vary.
Always Ultra also produce Long pads which are 284mm long instead of the 240 mm length of the Normal ones. Both Normal and Long pads are available with or without wings. Also available are Always Ultra Night, which are 317mm long, and only come with wings. Having used the Night ones, I can highly recommend those as well.
Summary: They'll Always be my choice

- 15/12/08 How often do you find you have to change them (sorry, fellas!)
I too find these to be the best on the market (but it is sooo irritating that we have to pay VAT on them!), though I always find the blurbs on the packaging entertaining (and the ads exhorting you to 'have a happy period'. Yeah, right).
