I agree that these are not as nice or easy to wear as the towels that stic on to briefs are, but there is one over riding advantage with them that no manufacturer has mastered yet. Because the towel is held from above the vagina and not below it, as with towels stuck on briefs, it stays closer to the vagina and stays where it's meant to be. Every month I ruin bed linen - I use old sheets mind you - because my briefs slip down a bit in bed taking the towel with them. It doesn't happen with this system. Message to manufacturers. Make something that doesn't rely on briefs being a really tight fit. Towels wouldn't leak so much then.
Good god do they still make these dreadful things.
I remember these string belts from when I was a kid many moons ago now and never wanted to go back to them after stick on pads were invented.
They are basically a belt as box suggests made of a stretch material with two hook ends for the towel to be attached to front and back. simple uncomfortable and chafing.
True they worked to a fashion although the towels usually dr. whites too were awful and always leaked if you couldn't get to the loo ontime. Bad news I felt. The towels attached by loops which were nearly always too long or short depending on pack. and bulky too. I can still remember that belt digging into my sides. ugh.
For one who always had it rough when the crimson tide arrived it was not a very succesful time in my life and wouldn't reccommend them with all the new products about these days. Stick to stick on winged pads or now there is tampons or the new invention a cup like device called a keeper. seems to work for some.
Personally I am glad I have gone through the change no need for these awful things any more.
theres always something to say about getting older. I won't miss these one bit.
