Advantages: Design of the bottle is practical, when it works.

Disadvantages: Dries up quicker than other lubricants.

Durex is one of the most common and well known brands of lubricant and condoms. Therefore it's probably the one that most people use, and - as the bog standard lubricant in the Durex line - 'Feel' might be the lubricant that most people try first. Perhaps this is also why the product is so unsensational - the company makes the sales targets purely through brand recognition and marketing and doesn't need to rely on having a great product.

So what is it?
As I said, it's an absolute, middle-of-the-road lubricant, not flavoured, not scented, not with any other claims to fame. It's also worth noting that it doesn't have any anti-spermicidal qualities. The lubricant comes in a hard plastic bottle with a pump action top. The spout is supposed to be able to turn into a lock position, but I find that this sometimes seems to get broken on some bottles and doesn't work. This is very annoying as you then can't transport it. However, when it works properly, the design of the bottle is quite good as you can leave it by the bed and reach out and operate it with one hand.

How does it perform?
The lubricant DOES work, don't get me wrong. Use a generous amount (about the size of two peas) on each person and you will have a good time. However. There ARE much better lubricants out there.

So, what makes Play Feel so average? While it does lubricate, the lubricating effects aren't as long lasting as other brands I find. No lubricant is going to last forever, but it does seem that Feel dries up quicker than others, which means you have to return for more, or do without, either way detrimental to the mood.

Any plus points? Well, the bottle design, when it works, is good. Other than that I could say that the gel-like texture is convenient - some other lubricants are more liquid in consistency and therefore messier. However, this lack of liquidity could be exactly the problem when it comes to the longevity of the product.

Overall, this isn't a bad lubricant, but there are certainly better ones out there. I would recommend looking online for some alternatives and just trying a few out to find your favourite.

Summary: Fine if you're planning on a quickie.

- Totally agree with this bit. The condoms are great but the lubricant is crap!!!

I only needed to lubricants for a while after the birth of my second child, and found this one to be among the more reasonable, mostly because it's so inoffensive. I completely fail to see the point of flavoured ones for example - unless there are people out there who suffer not only from vaginal but also mouth dryness.

But I agree, it does dry out fairly quickly.
