Durex Play Feel Light Silky Lube' - no negative words there then, Hmmm?!

I was actually given this 50 ml light blue pump applicator tube by a friend recently who was moving home - and between you and me I think she has secretly taken up a 'Vow of Celibacy' - the crazy mare!

Never one to turn a freebie down (well not until I've checked the splinter wrapping is still intact at any rate!), and being a regular user of personal lubrication - colloquially known as 'lube' - I have seen this in several shops of late.
However, aforementioned friend also kindly supplies me with free KY jelly, so I have never bothered to buy any of these newer generation moisturising agents as of yet...

Researching online for the price of this little container, I found out quite a few snippets of useful information for anyone considering purchasing this handy little bottle after reading my 'rave review' - 'Oy' no skipping to the 'juicy bits' - read the relevant 'Positives' list first, ok!

This Durex clear, quite runny product is:

* Water-based & Water Soluble
* Not a Spermicide
* Suitable for use with condoms
* Odourless
* Non greasy
* Safe to use with vibrators & personal toys
* Non sticky
* Designed to enhance sexual pleasure
* Non staining

Marketed by 'SSL International PLC', there is a free UK Careline number on the pack; alternatively you can access plenty of information on www.durex.com.

Durex are renowned for being the world's number one trusted condom seller, but there are many more products being constantly introduced into the marketplace with the company's ethos being: 'Sex plays a fundamental role in our physical and emotional wellbeing, we believe that a healthy and rewarding sex life should be everyone's to enjoy'.

Me too, hence it became my solemn duty as a Dooyoo reviewer to test this particular item out with *Bob the boyfriend as was soon as humanly possible!

Specifically designed to enhance sexual pleasure, this liquid should be kept at room temperature and stored in a cool dry place directly away from sunlight; plus is recommended to be used within 3 months of opening - Oh okay then if you insist!

The prices seem to vary enormously from £3.49 through to £4.89 depending on which website you frequent; obviously 'Feel' is sold in many major stockists too (£3.09 in Boots), but buying over the internet can be an option for those of you who are a little embarrassed to buy this type of product over the counter, or for anyone who is possibly housebound for example...

There are directions for usage on the side of the slender container, with the promise of 'Smooth a little onto any erogenous zone and your partner's touch will immediately feel far more sensual and intense'.

For me the pump action dispenser is a great idea, and we found two squirts (behave you lot!) was ample if being used as a protective moisturising layer against any intimate toy used in action at the time.

Being Latex Allergy any play toys have to be metal in design for me, so lube is an essential addition in the bedroom (living room, kitchen, bathroom...) in supplying a gentle sleek layer of protection between any areas of gentle intimate zones and a friction-giving battery aided plaything *Ahem*...

Needless to say if any discomfort or irritation occurs desist in usage, but we have encountered no problems at all.

Lubrication can be an essential part of a couple's lovemaking, it's a fact.

In my case I am on HRT which can be renowned for creating vaginal dryness; so it is lovely to have a smooth (if not cold on application - warm it first please!), gentle and silky feeling gelled barrier to help aid more pleasurable intimate encounters.

And let's not forget masturbation -this tube would be an asset for either sex to use - bits and private pieces can get over-heated and sore without a thin layer of cooling liquid to protect them when things get steamily fast-paced.

Also suitable for use with anal intercourse where lube is a must I would think *Halo*

In my opinion 50 ml is quite a lot of lube to play with, if you pardon the pun. *Bob has been doing his best for our altruistic market research purposes, bless him, but we still have plenty left!

For the purpose it is designed for I would say it does part of the job.

The solution itself I have found to be a non-irritant; it feels nice to the touch and does not dry out like its gooier jelly-like counterparts.
Its texture is more natural feeling than a thicker concoction, therefore more pleasant to use.
'Feel' is not sticky as advertised, nor does it smell of anything. I find certain aromas added to this sort of product can be really off-putting if the fragrance isn't pleasant, you don't find that potential problem with this gel.

The only bugbear for me is that I can't see where the more 'intense' feeling comes into being? Nothing felt enhanced by this stuff's presence, no tingling, no more sensitivity.

Neither my partner nor I noticed an increase in sensitivity anywhere, nothing felt more intense as advertised either, so that was quite disappointing.
I did notice there are 'Tingle' and 'Heat' versions of this lubricant, so they may be worth trying if extra erogenous feelings are required?

I think the whole smoothing 'Feel' onto any erogenous zone in itself would naturally enhance a persons sensuality anyway - plus its not necessarily a good thing to focus on sex for two - as lube is widely used when a person is pleasuring themselves also (so I'm told... *Halo Spinning Wildly Now*!).

So to the crux of the matter - as a consumer would I go out and buy it?

Well 'Yes' I certainly would!

As a slinky feeling lubrication in its own right I think its smashing, and beats the sticky, tacky-to-the-touch lubes like KY jelly hands down at their own game.
In emulating a female's natural secretions I think its super stuff, and for me it has now become a 'must have' in my toiletries bag on any romantic (never gonna leave the steamy boudoir anyway let's face it...) trips away.

We liked the less messy pump action feature; it seemed more fun that a flip-topped lube, and easier to handle than a metal or plastic softer tube too.

So gone are the good old days of a big tub of Vaseline - 'Viva la 'Feel' light silky lube'!

4 slickly supple Durex coated Dooyoo stars and now I'm going into hiding after up-listing 'this' review! (Can Rebecca ever show her blush-ridden red face again..?)
