Avoid for sure (Durex Play Tingle Lubricant)

I have to say that I bought this recently and really wish that I had read some of these reviews before doing so as I cant agree more strongly with them!

I wouldnt normally talk about something like this, let alone write about it on an internet site for all to see, yet I feel that because this product is so bad, I should try to prevent somebody else buying it and having the same 'experience'.

This is certainly not the first lube I have used, usually it is KY jelly but if like when i bought this, there is an offer on, I will buy some sort of durex as I feel it lasts longer. So when I saw this as buy one get one free for about £3 I thought I may aswel give it a go.

As others have said, the smell is quite minty, which isnt bad but is just slightly unexpected. Initialy there is a warm sensation but it changes so quickly from warm to intense that you have no warning and as it hurts quite a lot the only thing you can do is wash it off. Not only this but there was no feeling of tingle when used anywhere else other than 'downstairs'.

After this bad experience I vowed never to use this again, yet at christmas I recieved some as a present, and after reading the information on this new bottle, it seems that they have 'reformulated their best selling lube to make it even better than before'

Delving a little deeper into this I have realised that the older formula, which is in the bottle in the picture, contains menthol, which must have been what caused the bad burning feeling. This new bottle now states on the front 'menthol free' and on the back 'fragrance free'. Despite vowing never to use this again, as it was a new formula we thought that we may aswel give it a go knowing a trip to the shower may be needed. We could hardly fel anything to start with, and thought that it could be as we had used so little, so used more and more, and the burning sensation had gone, to be replaced with a feeling of.....well nothing to be honest.

It appears they have removed the only thing which allowed them to claim that it was a tingle lube, to a point where it is literally just a lube, and not a very good one at that.

My advice would be if you have, or get an old bottle, throw it away. I certainly wouldnt reccommend the new one either for the price you are paying, you dont get much in the bottle, and it doesnt do what it says it should do!

Summary: Overall a really bad product, claiming to use a better formula, which just makes it worse
