The fact that I'm a slightly overweight mother doesn't mean that I don't enjoy a full and varied intimate relationship. I like to experience a lot of variety in the bedroom (and elsewhere) and yes I do use toys and other aids. Something I regularly use is a lubricant (lube), not because I need extra moisture so much as because it intensifies certain sensations, and my favourite is this 'Durex Play Tingle'.
I picked my first bottle of Tingle up in Boots a couple of years back when they were doing a 'buy one get one free' offer. I'm not going to say the bottle itself looked special, it's simply a green affair with a pump dispenser. It doesn't look either stylish or 'sexy', in fact it looks very non-descript and I could probably get away with my mum discovering it in the bathroom and not realising what it actually is, as long as she didn't look too closely.
Getting into that bottle the first time round can be a bit of a struggle, it's got a heat sealed plastic wrap that is sometimes difficult to open, and then as with all pumps it need to be primed with a few presses. Now what comes out of the pump is a thick, slightly sticky goo and a strong scent of spearmint (this is what it smells and tastes like to me). Being thicker than many lubes this is not as messy as some that I've used it stays on my (or my partners) hand until I'm ready to apply it. I've used this both on myself and my partner and when applying a little goes a remarkably long way. As it warms it spreads easily and the tingle effect comes into play. I don't find that the sensation is particularly intense when used during masturbation, but it definitely does increase my enjoyment. While my partner has never said anything much about how he feels when I've used it on him, the way his eyes are closed and the look on his face tell me all I need to know about the fact he too likes it.
There is a definite difference between using this lube and none at all or a 'plain' variety. It does seem to get my nerve ends tingling in a pleasant way, and makes certain toys easier to use. It has a reasonably pleasant taste, I don't like anything that tastes strongly of mint, but this has sweet mildly spearmint flavour. There's one thing most men like that I don't like doing because I don't like the taste, but this allows me to perform for a longer time as the flavour lasts for ages. But it does make my mouth and lips tingle especially if I've used too much.
Although Durex reckon that this can make you tingly from top to toe, I wouldn't recommend it for giving anything other than very intimate massage. On anything but the most sensitive areas it's too sticky to allow decent massage and there isn't any of the tingling effect. It's not even that effective on nipples, although there I do have a slight increase in sensitivity when it's used there. The increase in sensitivity during intercourse can also become a problem, occasionally things can become too intense for both the man and the woman. I would also say this is definitely not for anal use, I'm pretty sure that it would be far too intense for that delicate area. This is supposed to be safe to use with condoms, but as I'm in a committed relationship (and trying for a baby) I can't comment on how well it works with them.
Once all the fun has finished it is necessary to wash this off, as I said it is sticky and can leave a residue on the skin, plus the aroma of spearmint can follow you around for ages. There have been times when I've fallen asleep exhausted and still been able to smell the lube on my hands the next morning.
I must admit I really like Play Tingle, it's my favourite in the Play range and gets the thumbs up from my partner too. Reasonably priced at under £4 a bottle, a little goes a long way towards adding a little something extra in the bedtime routine. However we are quite into intense sensation and I'm aware that the intensity of this can easily become pain if too much is used (there is a very fine line between pleasure and pain). I think this is a pleasure to use and that it gives me a lot of pleasure and I am recommending that you give it a try if nothing else.
Summary: Add a new dimension to bedroom antics
