“ Dosage Form: Tissues / Type: Feminine Powders, Cleansers & Deodorisers „
Although I am now 58 and have long since finished with the monthly visits from mother nature I do still occasionally feel the need for a bit of extra freshness in the nether regions.
I find that Femfresh Wipes are ideal for the job. In fact I have used these particular wipes since I was a teenager so they have been going strong for some years now!
Years ago the packaging for these wipes and the rest of the Femfresh range - talc, spray etc. - was in shades of peach and cream as shown in the picture at the top of this review. Nowadays the colours are fresh blues and white but the wipes are just as good.
The packet contains 25 wipes and currently costs £3.49 in Boots. This may sound a little expensive but these wipes aren't the sort of thing that I would use on a daily basis so I don't think that they are too expensive. In fact I would rather pay a little more for something I know to be of good quality rather than risking something cheap on such a delicate part of my body!
These wipes are in a packet similar to that which you would get with your facial wipes in that it is a flat pack with folded wipes inside and an opening on the front which can be resealed after a wipe has been removed in order to keep the remaining wipes moist. They do stay nice and moist too - even when I take some time to use the whole pack.
The wipes come out easily one at a time. That might sound a strange thing to say but I have found that some wipes I have used for various things comes out two or even three at a time thus wasting wipes.
The wipes themselves are white and are just moist enough for me to be able to clean and refresh myself when I am feeling hot and sticky without being so wet that I then need to dry myself.
The wipes are also flushable but I would rather put mine in the household rubbish as I would worry that they would contribute to a blockage in the drain - but I guess that's just me being over cautious!
The Femfresh feminine freshness wipes are made using a pH-balanced formula which will gently cleanse, freshen and deodorise your intimate areas. They contain mallow which is soothing and extracts of calendula which is anti-bacterial.
They work just as well now as they did forty years ago and, after I have used them, I always feel fresh and clean and I don't have to worry in case there are unwanted smells if you'll forgive me being indelicate.
The wipes are pH-balanced, hypoallergenic, dermatologically & gynaecologically tested which means that I always feel confident that they will be safe for me to use and they won't irritate my skin.
If I know that I am going to be out all day I just pop the packet into my bag just in case I need the reassurance of quick freshening wipe - the packet is small enough to be discreet. I use them more in the summer when the weather is warmer as I tend to feel sticky and worry that I am not as fresh as I might be.
Although I don't go camping these days I am sure that these wipes would be ideal to take with you if you do especially if you had to go for a day or two without a shower. They would also be a Godsend at a festival where washing often tends to be a bit of luxury!
In conclusion I think, since I have used these on and off for about forty years, I would have to recommend them! They work well, they are discreet and they aren't excessively expensive.
I use these feminine tissues on a regular basis as I like to keep that shower fresh feeling which wears off during the day. I know there are other cheaper brands around but as they are for the most intimate sensitive part of your body I like to use a well known brand. These are currently on offer at Boots for £1.75 which is half price and there are 25 tissues in the pack so I think this is a very good buy.
They have changed from the photo shown and are now in a white and blue packet with a clip top which clips back into place securely. This really does keep the wipes moist as I have in the past accidentally not clipped it shut completely and the first few wipes have started to dry out. The wipes themselves come out easily and only one comes out at a time so there is no waste.
They are white in colour and I find that one is usually enough to use each time. They are not really very moist but I find them sufficient to use and I feel comfortable afterwards and don't have to dry myself. They are completely fragrance free which is very important to me as I don't like strong smells next to my skin and they are completely flushable.
Femfresh feminine freshness wipes contain a pH-balanced formula which is aimed to gently cleanse, freshen and deodorise which I agree that it does. They contain soothing mallow and anti-bacterial calendula extracts. I feel really fresh after using the wipes and this lasts for a good couple of hours. I tend not to use them more than once a day if I can help it as even though they are not fragranced they still do contain other ingredients. They are pH-balanced, hypoallergenic, dermatologically & gynaecologically tested so I feel that they are safe to use.
I find the pack small enough to slip into a pocket in my handbag and work bag and if I am not taking my bag to the loo they also fit into my jeans pocket without being too bulky or noticeable. I have used them a lot more recently during our wonderful summer but do use them most of the time. I no longer have periods but still at times I feel that I need a freshen up which just makes me feel better and cleaner.
I think these are a good product and ideal if you go on holiday particularly camping where having a shower may be a bit difficult as you do get that really fresh feeling you get from a shower, but also are great for everyday use whether you are at that time of the month or not. I think that they are good value especially at the price I paid and I would highly recommend them.
I use Femfresh Feminine Tissues every now and again and I like to use these as I find they are easy to use, can be carried around fairly discreetly in my handbag and they are well worth the money for freshness and peace of mind. I have just returned from a two-day trip to Harrogate (business conference) and I took a pack of these along with me to keep me fresh as the weather is so hot and sticky. These are not a product I use for just 'certain times of the month', but in fact, I use them whenever I feel I want o be a little bit fresher and to give me confidence that I am clean and 'sorted down there' !!
I personally buy my Femfresh Wipes from Tescos, where they currently cost £3, however, I do know that Home Bargains are also stocking these particular wipes at the moment for about a pound less. They come in a little pack which clips shut after removing the wipe (they come out individually) an the top must be replaced properly, otherwise they have a tendency to dry out rather rapidly.
I love the fact that they are so gentle and kind on my skin and I also like that they are completely fragrance free so less likely to cause me irritation or sting my delicate 'bits'. They are flushable and though I always think they could do with being just a little bit more moist, they actually still do an excellent job.
The wipes themselves are a decent size, though smaller than your average facial wipe. They are medium thickness and fairly strong. One wipe is usually all that is required but as there are a total of twenty five wipes in one pack, generally speaking, they do tend to last me at least a month.
They are certainly a very useful product, particularly for traveling and so easy to pack away in your bag so no-one knows you are carrying them about. They are worth the price and a brand I really trust and I have been using them for years.
~ Sorry to be gross guys! ~
From time to time I can get quite heavy discharge around the end of the "time of the month" and whilst I wear pantyliners so I don't feel too icky it's also essential to frequently keep fresh and clean and this is an ideal solution to have to help combat this awful feeling. I have tried numerous varieties of feminine cleansing products, but Femfresh seems to be one of the leading lady brands and a trusted name in my book. I have used the wash in the past, and have also tried using the tissues.
The wipes come in updated packaging to the picture above and are in a white plastic packet with a clip top which pops open so you can pull a wipe out individually. The box reseals by clipping shut so the wipes remain relatively moist and do not dry out and you can use one at a time. The packet is rather small and indiscreet so I can carry them in my bag when necessary and they fit neatly inside (my bag is the size of a small suitcase anyway!). There are 25 wipes in a pack and costs about £3 in superdrug (expensive eh?!) but I normally manage to find these in Wilkinsons or Savers or somewhere for about £2!
The wipes contain a pH-balanced formula to gently cleanse, freshen and deodorise, (as stated on the pack) and they are white and rather thin and small for easy wiping. They do not sting or irritate downstairs and has no strong fragrance which I prefer as I have quite sensitive skin in the beginning and was worried this would make me feel itchy. However, I find them really easy to use, and leave me feeling dry, pleasant and refreshed. This feeling lasts for hours (until the next time I visit the loo) and so I do not constantly need to top up so a pack does last a long time. The only thing is they cannot be flushed down the loo, so be mindful to dispose of these properly!
Overall I would definitely recommend these and have had no problems with them. For peace of mind, a fresh feeling and boost of confidence (when down there I am feeling anything but these attributes!) these do a good job and I will continue to use these in future.
I have been a sufferer of thrush on many occasions which most women probably have. It is a known fact that women hold alot of bacteria in that region and will suffer from infections that are not sexually transmitted but do cause some problems.
Due to the thrush the loss of discharge can sometime smell or even if you have an active sex life this can also make a woman smell. Not always can other people smell what the woman can but for the fact of you can smell it you assume everyone else can.
These wipes are perfect for those delicate areas that do smell a bit off now and again they do not leave you feeling wet like normal wet wipe would they smell pleasant and clean the area the way they should. They are delicate on the skin and can be disposed of down the toilet. They come in a handy flat packet so if you are going out you can slip them in your bag for when you need the toilet they are available.
I have not found any problem with these wipes they are effective and elimnate the smell for a long period of time they are also great for those time of the month moments they will make you feel clean and fresh down below.
They are available from most chemists and supermarkets and they are about £2 a pack depending where you shop. Women should get some it will make them more confident with less to worry about.
