Advantages: drier climate is optimal area for these tampons

Disadvantages: Higher air moisture causes tampon to swell

I have been using tampons for nearly 28 years, and have almost always bought the lower price brand. I have lived in areas of low and high himidity. I found that in the areas of higher himidity there is a greater degree of difficulty in insertion. The tampons swell ( due to the moisture in the air) inside the applicator and cause the tampon to be flared at the tipand very hard to get it started out of the applicator. This may cause consumers to buy another, higher priced brand, or one with a plastic applicator. In areas of lower himidity, there is less or no problem with the applicator
