Sometimes, no matter what you do, you just can’t get enough moisture for a good comfortable session of hide the sausage. There could be various reasons for this – perhaps its an awkward time in your cycle, perhaps you’ve just given birth, or you could suffer from any number of medical conditions that affect the natural moisture balance of your ‘tunnel of love’ Alternatively, you could be experimenting with anal sex – the anus doesn’t naturally lubricate itself, so often needs a little help along.

ID Juicy Lube costs £5.99 for a 1.9oz bottle, or £9.99 for a 3.8oz bottle. It’s more expensive than some other lubricants, particularly over the purely functional kind. However, I think the price is good value for money, for various reasons I’ll outline later in this review.

Availability

ID Juicy Lube is the number 1 best selling lubricant in the world, so it’s pretty easily available in most reputable sex shops, as well as some of the more disreputable ones. It’s also available over the internet, which is how I prefer to purchase mine. I buy mine direct from the company at www.idlube.co.uk , but a quick scout around some other sites shows that it’s available pretty much everywhere.

Packaging

I’m not usually one for going into a great depth of detail on packaging, but in this case it is necessary. The Lube comes in a cylindrical container with a stay-fresh pump attached to the top, allowing you to easily squirt a dollop onto your hand without then having to try and screw the lid back on with greasy palms. There is also a clear plastic cap to put back over the pump.

Depending on the flavour you buy, the packaging colour will change, but there’s generally an illustration representing the flavour, and the ID Juicy Lube Logo is prominent on the packaging.

Ease of Dispensing

Dispensing the lube is easy – simply press down on the pump and a small amount will spurt into your palm. You don’t need a huge amount of this, a little goes a long way, and the pump prevents wastage from squirting too much out. Also, there’s no dripping from the pump, so I feel I don’t need to worry about it staining bedding or furniture.

Texture

The texture, surprisingly, isn’t too greasy. It’s slippy, and slidy, and all the things a lube really needs to be. It’s not as thin as some lubes, but does spread out when applied – so although it won’t run off your hand, its not going to be smeared on inch thick either. And it works - a quixk slick of this, and you're as moist as a builders armpit on a hot summers day!

Taste

As I’ve already mentioned, there are 12 different flavours of Juicy Lube, these are: Bubble Gum Blast, Passion Fruit, Big Banana, Pina Colada, Cool Mint, Wild Cherry, Strawberry Kiwi, Luscious Watermelon, Chocolate Raspberry, Caramel Cream or Fresh Peach.

I haven’t tried all of them, but have tried Caramel Cream, Wild Cherry, and the rather well named Big Banana. I’ve enjoyed all the flavours, but my favourite has to be Caramel Cream – sweet, with a slight burnt sugar taste, golden in colour, and with a sweet, honey-ish smell to it, it’s so nice I’ve even, when no one was around, squirted it onto ice-cream!

My partners always seem to have enjoyed the flavours too. When I wear the Juicy Lube, I have a much higher success rate in getting the amount of foreplay I want, and they seem to enjoy giving me oral pleasure a lot more, as I do myself.

I particularly enjoy using this when giving oral sex – it disguises the salty tang of semen, meaning I’m likely to keep going for longer without getting queasy from the taste of pre-cum.

Longevity

I’ve found this, once applied, keeps going for a long time. Some water based lubricants can seem to dry out fairly quickly after application, but with this one, I can subtly apply it about 15 minutes before I want to go to bed, and I will still be pleasantly moist and flavoured when I drag my fella upstairs.

Quantity

A little goes a long way with this . I have three bottles of this, and they seem to hardly go down at all, despite heavy usage. I bought my three bottles 2 years ago, and I don’t think I’ll need to buy anymore for another year, so it’s a really good investment .

During Oral Sex
