Advantages: Range of Absorbencies, Less packaging, Price

Disadvantages: None

Saying that Lil-lets is "Simply the Best" is all very well and good but having used tampons for over 25 years ( I had my first period when i was 12), I'd like to give my opinion why I would state such a thing so here goes.
Firstly Lil-lets non-applicator tampons are available in the following absorbencies Lite, Regular, Super, Super Plus and Super Plus Extra the only tampon in the UK for women with very heavy flow.

The Lil-lets outer packaging has a colour coding system for the different absorbencies blue for lite, yellow for Regular, pink for Super, green for Super Plus and purple for Super Plus Extra.
The back of the box explains how "lil-lets tampons gently expand widthways" and shows a picture of a tampon and tells you some key elements like "stronger core for easier insertion".
There is also a warning for TSS and reminds you to read to leaflet enclosed.
Opening the box you find the "Guide to lil-lets non-applicator tampons; how to use them , FAQ's and advice" booklet and of course the all important tampons.

The Tampons are wrapped in clear cellophane with a coloured band around the outside matching the box colour code.
Once you get used to inserting a Lil-lets non-applicator tampon ( It took me quite a few times the first time I tried them) they are alot better than applicator tampons.

This is how I do it.

Firstly I wash my hands, then I get myself into a comfortable position normally sat on the toilet with my knees apart.
Now I remove the the cellophane from the Lil-let Tampon and check the removal cord is pulled out and has a knot in it.
I hold the tampon with my thumb and middle finger and rest my index finger on the base of the tampon (the end where the cord comes out).
I use my other hand to gently fold back the skin covers the opening to my vagina.
RELAX and then I place the rounded tip of the tampon to my vaginal opening, point the tip towards my lower back ( not straight up).
And insert the tampon using my index finger and when I can not feel the tampon inside me I know it is in far enough, I can now see the removal cord coming out of my vagina.
Wash my hands again.
Sometimes if I find it awkward to get the Tampon inside me, I use a little bit of KY Jelly on my vaginal opening to ease insertion.

Lil-lets Tampons should be changed every 4-6 hours depending how heavy your flow is, if like me you are "blessed" with very heavy flow this will be the sooner of the 2 times.

To remove a tampon I find the best way is to sit on the toilet RELAX and gently pull the removal cord, once out I place it a nappy sack and then in a bin.
Then I wash my hands and repeat the whole process again (6 days of hell).

Other reasons to buy Lilets Non-Applicator Tampons.

1, They take up less space so easier to carry around.
2, Less packaging so better for the enviroment.
3, If like me your blessed with heavy periods they do the Super plus Extra absorbency.
4, Widthways expansion so no leaks.
5. Knotted string for easier removal.

All in all I feel they are "Simply the Best".

Summary: Lil-lets simply the best
