Advantages: Safer, closer fit.

Disadvantages: Tastes bad.

The Mates condom range comes in many different varieties.
I bought the Ultra Safe version simply because they were the cheapest in ASDA at the time.
The box they came in was bluey colours with the grey Mates logo and white writing saying "ultra safe".
I paid about £3.99 for a box of twelve which means they're not the cheapest condoms out their.
Inside the box theres two strips of six condoms. Each condom is about 5.5 by 5.5 cms. The packet is light grey with the Mates logo and condom type printed in the middle.
The condom is a slightly different shape to usual condoms as it's meant to give a closer fit. Being a female I'm not sure if this felt any different.
The spemicidal lubricant does give extra protection but it had a disgusting taste, although the box doesn't advertise that the condom is tasty so i can't complain. I didn't notice any particular smell with these condoms which is an advantage considering the vile taste.
These condoms are probably best for intercourse and not for oral so I wouldn't recommend them to couples who use a condoms for a variety of activities (like oral) although the condoms do give extra protection.

Summary: Condoms that give extra protection but not great for oral sex.
