FemFresh Natural Balance Cleansing Wipes
by MsTricia
I can get quite heavy discharge during the month so whilst I hate feeling icky, and sticky so I tend to use Femfresh wipes to help me feel better. I have used the tissues, but currently these wipes stay in my locker at work so should the need arise I have these to hand!
They come in a small plastic packet which is a handy size ... for carrying in a handbag. I bought this pack for £1 in poundland but have also seen them going for around £3 in Superdrug which, considering a pack has 20 wipes it doesn't really feel worth it at that price if I'm honest!
The wipes contain a pH-balanced formula to gently cleanse, freshen and deodorise, (as stated on the pack) and they are white and rather thin and small for easy wiping. They do not sting or irritate downstairs and has no strong fragrance which I prefer as I have quite sensitive skin in the beginning and was worried this would make me feel itchy. In essence, these wipes are a bit like using a cold flannel for a quick wipe but minus the extra luggage as you can dispose of these straight after!
I find these wipes are really easy to use, and leave me feeling dry, refreshed and so much cleaner. This feeling lasts for ages and so I do not constantly need to top up so a pack does last a long time. The only thing is they cannot be flushed down the loo, so be mindful to dispose of these properly!
Overall I would recommend these and have had no problems with them. For peace of mind, a fresh feeling and boost of confidence these do a good job and I will continue to use these in future. Read the complete review |

Asda Shades Moist Bathroom Tissues
by katykicker
Moisturising toilet tissues are something that I normally keep in my handbag. I have them on hand for times when I am visiting a public toilet as I often find that they either have toilet paper that is like sandpaper or no toilet paper at all.
The particular moist tissues that I have purchased recently are these Shades ... fragranced wipes. These wipes come in a blue packet with a plastic flip top lid. There is also a seal that can be opened and stuck back down again to keep these wipes clean and hygienic. Within the packet there are 40 wipes and with this packet currently costing 79p these wipes are just 2p each and very economical for times when I am on the move.
These wipes are flushable, which is very handy and hygienic of course, and the packet claims that they are biodegradable too. I sometimes use two of these at a time and I have had no problems with them flushing away at all. Now generally I am not using these particular ones in my own home but I do not want to leave a mess behind for someone else to find so these wipes do exactly what they say they will!
Now my reason for using these toilet wipes is mainly for convenience. I do not want to be in a public toilet and be caught short with no toilet paper. For a while I carried around pocket tickets with me but I found that they weren't very hygienic and sometimes the seal would open in my bag and leave them covered with dirt and dust. This was when I decided to start carrying around some toilet wipes with me. Now I carry a large handbag with me most of the time so this isn't really a problem for me but obviously they aren't as convenient as pocket tissues.
These toilet wipes are interleaved meaning when you remove one that the next one should present itself ready to use. This is ideal for me as it means that I don't have to dig around in the packet to get a wipe out. The wipes are thin but they are strong despite this and I have not had any problems with them tearing when being used. The size is reasonable and almost comfortably covers the palm of my hand. This obviously avoids any mess occurring which is another benefit of using these. The scent of these wipes is very gentle and is just a nice, clean, fresh scent without being overly scented. There is a nice texture to these wipes and they are nice and soft.
If I have the opportunity I will use toilet tissue first and then finish with one of these wipes. This helps to keep me feeling fresh all day which is ideal if I am out shopping, for lunch or just generally away from home for several hours and I want to stay feeling fresh and clean. Obviously if there is no toilet tissue available then I just use a wipe or two by itself. These wipes work very well at cleaning and freshening sensitive areas and they leave me feeling relaxed and refreshed when I am out and about. They are moist but not overly wet and this means that the area dries quickly which is good of course. They are not harsh at all and even if I use them several times a day, if I am out shopping for the day for example, they work very well and leave me feeling fresh, clean and fantastic. I am rating these wipes 5/5 stars and will definitely buy them again. Read the complete review |

Andrex Moist Toilet Tissues
by Abski2001
Andrex Moist Toilet Tissues
I had seen these advertised a few times on the tv and never really fancied them particularly, however when daydreaming around Asda I saw that these were on offer for £1 a packet and I decided to give them a try for something different.
The Andrex moist toilet tissues, or washlets as ... they are more recently called, come in a plastic solid container that is a pearly white colour and slightly frosted. The container is opened by pressing the front of the box with a push mechanism. The box is quite small and compact and sits nicely on my bathroom shelf, with approximate dimensions of 15 cm x 10 cm x 4 cm. The plastic pack has the andrex branding which is blue and white wrapped around it.
The pack contains 42 individual moist toilet tissues, they are all neatly stacked much like a packet of face wipes. The washlets are intended to be used in addition to or in place of standard, dry toilet paper. Andrex claims that these washlets are more hygienic and leave you feeling cleaner than just ordinary toilet paper.
The wipes are moist to touch, but not saturated, just damp enough to clean yourself thoroughly. They are fragranced wipes and described as cotton fresh, they certainly smell fresh and clean and not unpleasant at all. The wipesrare pH neutral or balanced with means they shouldn't irritate you like some perfumed products do. I have not experienced and unpleasantness or problems using them.
I find these do make me feel a lot cleaner and fresher than using standard loo roll. They are kind and gentle as you would expect from an Andrex product and are fast drying which I was slightly worried about before using them, but the moisture content is just right. I haven't swapped from toilet roll to washlets, but they are definitely useful and pleasant to use every now and then.
A pack of 42 washlets has an rrp of £1.89 and of course they are often on special offer in supermarkets and shops. One wipe I find is enough and so they work out to be pretty good value. Overall I was very impressed with these once I got over the moist toilet tissue issue! Read the complete review |
