Advantages: Easy enough to use and dispose of

Disadvantages: None really

I don't now about other women reading this but I've always struggled to use tampons. All my mates have used them for years and most swear by using them but I've always been confused when trying to use them and always cos I can't see them find it hard to judge when to change them and stuff.

However from time to time I do re-try them out because I'd prefer to use them from sanitary towels really and feel they're more hygienic and easier to dispose of! The one thing I won't do is use cheap, value or economy one's. I prefer to buy a brand I've heard of and Tampax I have of course!

The Packaging:

I've only scent these available to purchase in a 20 pack and I paid £2.78 for those (in Sainsbury's) though other sizes may of course be available. My option was regular but for about the same price you can purchase these in the 'Super' variety too.

So the box they come in is bright pink and yellow and on the front I'm told they are Tampax Compak Fresh 'Slightly Scented' 20 Applicator Tampons and that they are regular (my chosen one's of course as I previously stated) and that they are pink and have a skirt (lol). On one side of the box I'm shown the applicator and how the 'skirt works' and on the other side I'm shown a diagram of how to use one. On the back of the box I'm told a bit about the product, a bit about the different tampons available in this range and what absorbency they are designed for and a warning is listed. On the bottom of the box contact details for Procter & Gamble are listed (the manufacturer of all Tampax products), I'm shown how to dispose of them after use (in a bin), the recycle symbol is shown and finally there is a bar-code on there. Nice female friendly box this is!

The Tampons:

All come individually wrapped in a bright yellow plastic oblong packet with pink lettering on that actually says nothing at all lol. The packets are easy to tear into and your met with a bright pink see through applicator with a white string to one end and all you do to insert it is pull the bottom part of the applicator fully out and then gently push it up and the cotton tube of tampon pops out of the top and into you! Simples!

Now there is a slight floral scent to this product but nothing major or too overpowering. When storing these for a while that scents stays put really very well indeed. I mean I don't use all 20 in a month because I alternate with towels so I appreciate that smell staying put though I don't think it does much for us when using it!

Verdict:

These are actually simple to use. Like I said at the beginning of this review I find all tampons difficult to get inserted and into place but these are easier for me than most. I like the applicator and the general packaging and even the scent (makes my bag smell nice when I take them out and about with me lol). Once inserted they stay put, they are highly absorbent and the 'skirt' flares to the base of them when in use making sure of no leakages, and me I'm happy to report I've had none of those, though still I wouldn't wear me best white knickers I'm not that confident! lol.

Everything about these is quality. The string is sturdy so no worries there, the tampons slides out of the applicator with ease and no having to drag it out of yourself when you've used it with a bulldozer...just a gentle pull is all it takes! A good quality product and the only tampons I trust to buy...these are!

Available in all good supermarkets and chemists etc.

Summary: A decent quality product for your personal use!
