Advantages: Can be kept in for 8 hours,environmentally friendly,money saving,100% dry feeling

Disadvantages: Bit tricky to get in at first

The mooncup is one of my new favourite descoveries! I will admit that at first I was terrified of the idea of it but I tried it in order to attempt to be more green about things. I use my mooncup mostly but then do use Bodyform Sanitary Towels when I am sterilising my Mooncup.
At first when I took it out of the packet, I thought it looked odd, unfriendly and too big! But I soon came to terms with using it and learning how to trim and fit it more comfortable which did take a little jiggling about but I got there in the end.
At first I didn't like the idea of changing it as I was scared to get my hands dirty, as it were, but soon descovered that even with my heavy periods there isn't really that much 'muck' that you come into contact with. Still though, I cant lie that there is a bit but honestly, i am so used to it that I wouldn't consider it a problem. I was nervous about using it away from home, like at work and when I go out. This is because you need to take a bottle of water into a cubicle with you and I was nervous how I would engineer this without people thinking I was odd. To be honest, no one even noticed at work as when I have my period I take my bag with me to the loo anyway so concieling a bottle water was childs play.
The thing that I most love about it is that (as mentioned I suffer with heavy periods) and so I was forever changing my sanitary towel or tampon but the mooncup can be changed every 8 hours as a maximum! Also because nothing is seeping from you, I LOVE the feeling of dryness that it gives me as I detested feeling damp during the start of my period.
All in all I think this product is marvelous and just like it says on their advertising, I dont notice I have it in and it has helped me not be so uncomfortable during my period which is always a bonus!

Summary: Anything that makes me happier while on my period is welcomed!
