More like suction cup than Mooncup. (The Mooncup)
Member Name: BeckiBee
Advantages: Friendlier to the environment Disadvantages: Not easy to use and I thought I had given myself a hysterectomy I also thought that the Mooncup would be an answer to all problems especially environmental. I used it for three periods quite successfully. The only drawbacks were cleaning it when you are in a public toilet and the occasional leaks. During my forth period I had a very strange experience with it. I found it very difficult to remove as if it had fully vacuum sealed itself to my cervix. When I did eventually manage to get it out (sorry for the next bit) I felt as if it had caused my cervix to come down a lot lower than it should have. This was quite disturbing as I am used to and aware of my body. I didn't start to 'flow' again for three days after the event. It was almost as if the Mooncap had behaved like a pressure dressing. This really put me off so hey!ho! back to the usual thingies again. Summary: Very expensive if it doesn't work out and very messy to use. |
