I cannot say enough about this great product. I had heard of it initially through a friend and at first I was put off by the idea of a cup that collected menstrual waste that you could rinse and reuse. I was attracted by the idea that I would never have to spend £££s on sanitary products or have to send thousands of used ones to landfill every ... Read the complete review

The mooncup is a useful alternative to tampons and sanitary towels. It's certainly not for everyone and it's not suitable for all situations, but in my opinion it is a more environmentally friendly and cheaper alternative to the other products out there for us girls. Basically it is a small cup, made of flexible, hypo-allergenic rubber type ... Read the complete review

I've had my mooncup now for about 3 1/2 years, although I've been pregnant for some of that time, so I've only used it regularly for the last year. I bought it from our local 'eco' shop, it was about £15 at the time I think, and it's available in most places for £17 now. It comes in two sizes, one for women how haven't given birth and ... Background: I've always found tampons annoying - you have to carry them with you, and then when you change them you need to find somewhere to dispose of them (why oh why do so many ladies loos lack sanitary bins?!) And of course there's the cost - tampons aren't cheap. So throughout my time at university I was always vaguely intrigued by ... Read the complete review

I bought my mooncup as a result of seeing a sticker inside the ladies loos at work. I looked it up on the internet, and unlike many other people I thought it would be prefect for my purposes. I bought it over the internet, and it arrived promptly, in minimal packaging, just the mooncup in its little fabric bag, with the instructions in a brown ... Read the complete review

I have to admit that I was extremely nervous about buying a mooncup. Surely it's just a product for eco-warriors, not something for young urban professionals? However the current credit crunch led me to seriously revaluate my spending patterns and when I realised that I was spending £10 a month on sanitary products I thought the mooncup was at ... I also thought that the Mooncup would be an answer to all problems especially environmental. I used it for three periods quite successfully. The only drawbacks were cleaning it when you are in a public toilet and the occasional leaks. During my forth period I had a very strange experience with it. I found it very difficult to remove as if it had ... Read the complete review

I bought my Mooncup from my local healthfood shop for £20 about a year ago and have used it since. It's easy to use once you get used to inserting it (which may take a few tries but no more practice than when you started using tampons!) It comes in a nice cotton bag so you can carry it in your handbag without worrying about it being ... Read the complete review

I'm 45 years old and have always suffered from heavy periods, epecially during the last few years. I was finding myself changing tampons every hour during the first couple of days of my period, and was constantly getting leaks, and waking up in the morning wet. When I saw the mooncup advertised I thought I'd found the solution to my problems, ... Read the complete review

All women should know about the Mooncup.. I have been using a Mooncup for about 5 years now and I would NEVER go back to tampons. It is excellent for travelling and festivals, as it takes up minimal space in your travel bag. There is also the pleasure of saving a fortune over the years. The Mooncup is much more ... I had never heard of a Mooncup or even knew such a thing exsisted until accidently stumbling across the reviews here on dooyoo. Now I just wish I had found out about them much sooner. They normally retail at around £19.99 but I paid about £15.00 for mine after shopping around on the internet, and I must say its well worth the money. (I think ... Read the complete review

I've never been so happy....I hated my periods and all the mess and smell. Dirty underpants and stained pants were just a nightmare for me. Until one day I saw this programme on the TV, about this 'green' family, where the woman used the mooncup. She did not went on detais, but I was curious enough to go to the lovely internet and reseach about ... Read the complete review

Pre warning - men, I'm sorry to be sexist but I'll be mentioning blood and ladybits in the same context, so if you don't want to hear about those things don't read. Just give me a Very Useful and walk away ;) I jest, of course, but please be pre-warned that I'm talking about periods here! Okay, I've been using my Mooncup now for nearly ... The moon cup hehehe. If ever you first come across one of these you will not be impressed. Who on earth wants a silicone egg cup up them? Well dont let its apperance put you off. Firstly the price. At around 20 quid they are expensive but you only need one and they last for about 20 years. That would save a fortune on tampax and sanitary towels. ... Read the complete review

Periods can be an uncomfortable, messy and annoying part of life and I'm sure that I'm not the only one who faces 'that time of the month' with a certain amount of resigned dread. As the frequency of TV and magazine adverts show, we are always on the look out for something to make the whole experience more comfortable - towels and tampons are ... Read the complete review

For those that don't know the Mooncup is a reuseable form of sanitary protection, worn inside the vagina. It collects blood from your period, then you periodically (excuse the pun) empty it, and then replace. The idea is to replace all the many millions of tampons used that end up clogging the drains and floating in the sea. The Mooncup ... Read the complete review

I bought one of these after reading about them on a Lush board. Mine cost about £15 if i recall and I needed type B which is for women that have had a normal birth ie are dare I say it baggier! If you have not had children or had a c section then you would use type A. Basically the beauty of the mooncup is that it is reusable (you just ... Read the complete review

This is an amazing product and can I say I was sceptical to start with. I got it initially for two reasons. I have to say the green issue was the lesser of the two reasons. The main reason was that I am prone to thrush and it is meant to prevent it. It works!!
I did as advised and tried it before my period started to get used to it. I initially thought it was a mistake as I found it difficult to remove but after a bit of practice I had it sorted. Once my period started I was worried about leakage...not a problem! It is comfortable, less messy than tampons or towels, particularly first thing in the morning.

The mooncup is one of my new favourite descoveries! I will admit that at first I was terrified of the idea of it but I tried it in order to attempt to be more green about things. I use my mooncup mostly but then do use Bodyform Sanitary Towels when I am sterilising my Mooncup. At first when I took it out of the packet, I thought it looked ... Read the complete review

I as i imagine most women are not a big fan of periods, they are just one of those things we have to grin and bear each month from puberty untill the menopause sets in which i am hoping will be early with me as i hate having a period each month.
