Armitage Rotastak Choc Drops
Advantages: Cheap, last a long time and pets love them!
Disadvantages: none for me
I have recently bought a pet baby rabbit named Peter! Already he is majorly spoilt.
Me my mother sister and nephew were shopping at the local Pets at home, spoiling our pets! When my sister came across a small ball with a opening which you had to put small treats such as choc drops or yoghurt drops in for your pet to work out how they get the treats out of the ball, so she decided she was going to buy Peter this and the choc drops and yoghurt drops also.
The choc drops cost 75p at Pets at home or you can get an offer of 2 for £1. You can also buy these small treats in Tesco at a similar price.
The choc drops come in a 50g mainly red foil bag with bits of silver on. The front of the bag has a picture of the chocolate drops, a picture of a cartoon hamster juggling! Also it says 'yummy treats for all small animals'. On the back of the bag it states that the treats are complementary pet food for all small animals, suitable for rabbits, guiniea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, mice and rats. However on the Pets at home website it states that these small treats are for hamsters. Also the back of the bag notes that the product is a treat therefore should not be given in large quantities. They give a recommendation of no more than 5 per day. The choc drops themselves are very small brown round and flat. They almost look like Cadburys chocolate buttons but obviously a lot smaller. They even smell like real chocolate!
At first Peter was unsure about these chocolate drops and would not take them from my hand. However i think this is because he was only a baby and was not yet used to his new home! Now peter absolutley loves these choc drops and will take them from the palm of your hand and also is always trying to get them out of his ball! Once Peter has had one he will not leave you alone and sniffs around for more so i think they are personally a favourite of his! However i do not give in to him and give him any more as the recommendation is at the most 5 a day so i tend to follow that and only give them to him as a treat. Also i know these choc drops are a hit with hamsters. My sisters hamster Jasper absolutley loves these choc drops, he sits with them in his small hands slowly eating them, then wants more! He even waits at his cage and follows you around for them!
These small choc drops certainly seem to be a great hit with Peter and Jasper i certainly agree with the front of the bag 'yummy treats for all small animals'. Therefore i will certainly be buying them again. Also i know that they last a very long time as my sister previously has had them so I believe that they are a great bargain to treat your pet. I would definitely recommend these treats!
Thanks for reading my review x
Summary: a great buy!
