      Advantages

      Disadvantages

We split down the middle, Colin not keen, Trevor doesn't mind it!

When it comes to my hamsters (if you haven't read any of my recent reviews I now have another called Trevor lol) I seriously spoil them. Up until getting Trevor I simply stuck to chocolate and yogurt drops as treats for Colin as he wouldn't eat anything cereal based or what I think of as healthy no matter how I tried however along with buying Trevor I decided to kick start his diet the right way and got one of these sandwiches and actually split it in half so Colin could try some (which was easy to do!).

      The Packaging:

The plastic packet the sandwich comes in is a dark green colour with see through sections on it so you can see exactly what your buying. On the front of it we are told that it is Johnson's Seed & Honey Sandwich 'A natural honey enriched treat' and that it is suitable for hamsters, gerbils etc and there is a phoptograph of a hamster nibbling one of them. On the back of the packet other information listed includes being told a bit about the product, the weight is stated which is 30g, the best before date is clearly stated and contact details for Johnsons are given. Easy to tear off packaging this is and understandable too!

      The Sandwich Itself:

What you get is what actually looks like a bit of a sandwich. Light and thin crispy creamy coloured wafers (2) and they are filled with nuts, seeds and cereals. Now all the bits are gently combined with some honey which keeps the mix all together, brittle and hard. The bits are small and though I can't recognise all the bits and bobs within it there is tiny bits of nuts visible, dried yellow corn and lots and lots of seeds.

Now Colin and Trevor both loved the wafer bits on it and nibbled away very happily at those, only Trevor liked the seedy/nutty/cereal mix. He was able to pull off small chunks and nibble at it and at 99p (in all good supermarkets and pets shops) this offers extremely good value for money in my opinion and it really isn't something they can easily scoff.

Good for teeth, well balanced and nutritionally balanced as well I'd get this again for only Trevor really and it will last him months but prize off a little wafer for Colin as he really isn't so keen!

These I have seen in Pets At Home and in The Range.
